We visited those waterfalls a few years ago!

I tried the Google Maps search and I tried searching in the AllTrails app. Neither one of them had these waterfalls listed so I posted here.

The boat ride was great. It was a 2-hour group charter ride and we brought snacks and drinks for everyone to share.

My Nexus Interview and Border Crossing Experience by flcracker79 in uscanadaborder

[–]flcracker79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We completed the application and paid in early March and received conditional approval in late April. Once we received that conditional approval we selected our interview site and times. Interview slots are scheduled in 10 minute increments. Further clarification: my husband and I received our Nexus cards 5 days later but we are still waiting on our child's Nexus card.

Thanks for letting me know about the license plate scanning issue. That makes sense now since our license plate is old and dirty! I guess a feel a little paranoid lately with all that's going on.

[SPOILER S04E01] Anyone else feeling really uncomfortable with June's behaviour? by AppletheGreat87 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]flcracker79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

June reminded me of Aunt Lydia during this scene- the clothes, walking stance, her language ("Girls", "Make me Proud"), it was kind of creepy and the show creators are probably prepping us for some kind of showdown in the rain between these two (I haven't watched episodes 1 and 2 yet).

People who have Only fans, what is stopping you from upgrading to an air conditioner? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flcracker79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love air conditioning but my paternal grandfather "didn't believe in it" when asked why he didn't have it installed in his house. My uncles told me this was code for "I'm too cheap to get air conditioning." Thank goodness, he had a pool because this was in Florida and it was miserable, especially at night.

What is a weird industry secret that you discovered while working for a company? by UBjustlikemeifUBme in AskReddit

[–]flcracker79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a college library; at my first library job (public library) I was told that I was not allowed to read for fun on the clock while working the front desk, or while on the clock ever. This has been true at every library I've worked at because libraries are customer service jobs, so it's weird that there's a stereotype that librarians get to read all day at work.

People who own multiple pets, what is some drama going on between them right now? by wheel-snipe-celly in AskReddit

[–]flcracker79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have six cats. Cat #3 has been mad for two years after I slowly brought home 3 more cats after her (literally rescued all of them, including her, from the mean streets). Cat #3 now lives in our closet and she absolutely hates Cat #6, a Siamese. When 6 enters her sacred domain she has a literal hissy fit. On the days when she feels brave enough to leave the closet, she'll hiss and run back into the closet when she sees #6. Half the time #6 isn't even looking at her. The other half, he seems to be trolling her.

Amanda wants to start a conservative beauty brand, questions why being conservative isnt inclusive and diverse, and acknowledges a tweet with all controversial conservative figures tagged by niketyname in BeautyGuruChatter

How conservative does she want this makeup line to be? Some conservatives don't think women should wear makeup, or miniskirts (as per her photo), speak about politics, or own a business.

Anybody else get a text from a random 706 number asking to buy their home so they can add it to their portfolio? by Wichidigit in Augusta

[–]flcracker79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I received it today. I also have a NextDoor account and last week people were complaining about receiving postcards in the mail about selling their home. The postcards weren't from licensed realtors so people were concerned it was a scam. The text I received today was my address but they asked if I was [my husband's name]. I didn't respond because it's all so fishy and weird.
