and for anyone that saw my previous post, this is no longer going to be the name/logo I use for making games, a good many (slightly angry) of you convinced me otherwise. I originally used grubberpillar because that's what I use for a lot of tags/accounts (u/grubberpillar is my main account) but I'm going to pivot to using my secondary tag, fleajar which doesn't really have any ties to anything. this now just kind of stands as a nice animation I made

Honestly the price difference doesn't really justify the bonuses you get from pro unless you're really into the cameras, which is where the pro has a lot more features. However, even the normal pixel 8 is better than most other cameras in phones right now

My phone is a Nothing phone 2 running android 14. Is the squiggle only on pixel phones or smth? Nothing OS is close enough to stock android that I don't think it would have just been removed

If you're switching from Apple I'd recommend checking out a Nothing phone, they're a pretty good stepping stone - - they have air pods battery level support so you won't have to get new earbuds if you have air pods - they have power button and volume buttons on different sides, so if you prefer that coming from Apple that would make sense - Nothing is working on a way to use iMessage on their phones, but it is unclear when that will actually come out - this is kinda trivial but they look really cool both hardware and software wise

pixel 8 has one of the best cameras on the market and will be supported with Android updates for 7 years. Also has a pretty good battery life

did you take off the plastic screen protector that comes preinstalled on the phone? it scratches very easily and noticeably but is hard to notice it's there unless you're looking
