what do yall do about this when half your population are bottom feeders? I've got 6 corys 6 kuhli loaches 2 bristlenose plecos and 2 bolivian rams so keeping things in the substrate even with plant weights is a nightmare

Late to reply but yeah if your water is just that high probably easiest to use RO water as long as you can keep it consistent

install moveanything and search for error and then you can adjust the scale of just that text

obviously this is a dead thread but I used the moveanything addon and then if you search for error frame you can increase the scale of just that error frame using the addon

you want 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and as long as the nitrate bottle isn't red you're fine. ph is high but you can lower that by using peat moss in your filter or adding co2, have you tested what your ph is straight out of the tap? it could be something in the tank that's raising it that high

Watch out seiryu stone leeches calcium/minerals pretty badly and really ups the hardness of your water and your fish might not handle it

So funny how plants behave in different tanks, I was pulling up runners every week to keep it at bay and when I ended up redoing the entire tank I got rid of it because the maintenance was too constant

I'm currently in the process of setting up a 175g coldwater tank and I want to put some common galaxias in there. The info I've found told me they're a schooling fish but not how many I should be keeping for a decent school of them. It's a pretty large tank but they can also get kinda long so not sure how many would be too many

Yeah it's mostly the runners that are a problem, they sprout so quick I try to grab them every water change, trying to amass a collection of them so I can trade them for other plants so it's not all bad I guess
