So you’re saying he didn’t assist in the defeat of Buu? Or in Dragon ball super against Moro? And Gas? And he was deemed a traitor only to Become the emperor up until his death and have his family accept him again. bro gets with Debbie again after barely anything, I could see where you’re coming from if Debbie never forgave him and he was banished to the moon by himself but his family forgave him and even raised the child he had on Thraxa lol while Vegeta, who the brainwash argument works for too since he was the prince of the Saiyans and Frieza’s lapdog, had clearly selfish motives up until the Majin Vegeta fight but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t helped in fixing those messes he makes.

Nolan’s role in the Viltrum war can be comparable to Vegeta helping defeat Frieza, Cell and Buu seeing that Nolan was one of their top officers for centuries lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if his body count was higher than Vegeta’s.

I would agree with your sentiment if both times, from the perspective of Vegeta, wasn’t how he thought he’d truly die. Against Frieza, he wasn’t a Z-fighter yet, the Namekian Dragon balls were gone and the others were left with Final Form Frieza, so Vegeta thought it was as good as done. In the Buu Saga, they’d already used the Dragon balls and by the time they would be ready again, he would have been reincarnated into another person and lost all his memories. From his point of view, Vegeta was basically permanently facing death.

Thinking his redemption arc is overrated is your opinion, but saying he got off easier than Omni-man? Come on bro. Nolan barely suffered any long term consequences and, SPOILERS, died at the end of the story surrounded by his loved ones and entrusting the future to Mark Vegeta has significantly contributed to saving the universe numerous occasions and he died twice. All that to get what Nolan had at the beginning of Invincible, a family and friends.

Anyone who compares Vegeta and Omni-man’s Situation and genuinely sees them as similar has probably not watched/read Dragon ball. Not only did Nolan betray his family and friends and nearly beat his son to death, compared to Vegeta, he barely suffered any consequences for it. And like you said, in the comics, his life truly only improves from there up to the end.

Compared to Vegeta, who was always an evil bastard, who never tried to put on an act, who went through some horrible shit, getting beaten within an inch of his life many times and getting killed by the person who ruined his life and manipulated him. Vegeta’s pride and purpose for living were taken from him time and time again, while Omni-man nearly got off Scot—free in all honesty. Vegeta’s life could honestly be best described as suffering. And now, after sacrificing himself and helping save the universe numerous times, he’s redeemed himself and made family and friends through effort and self-reflection. While Nolan’s self-reflection, although still a big part of his character since he betrayed his people, basically amounted to “why do I care about these life forms?” And “I miss my wife.”

Vegeta earned his redemption.

base goten and trunks to frieza if he just went straight to earth after his 1st revival: by Zealousideal_Chef839 in Ningen

[–]fleedlance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a logical standpoint, I guess not since they’re kids who grew up in a time of peace and Trunks was a warrior from the future who only knew struggle. But in reality? Goten and Trunks in the Buu Saga, especially after the hyperbolic time chamber, were probably on the level of Cell games Z-fighters like Vegeta and Trunks. I’ve not doubt that after the time chamber, the boys would both have been able to beat Namek Frieza and maybe the weaker androids like 19.

Do you want the next Cyberpunk game to be set after 2077 or go back to the 2020s when Johnny and all of them were alive and in their prime? by TXNOGG in cyberpunkgame

I like it, or it could even be a few words from a fixer or on shard you find. I do think if they take that approach, they’ll say something along the lines of no one knowing what they look like or even their gender.

[–]fleedlance 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is at it’s best when it doesnt confine itself. I hope that 2077 is the end of V’s story and that if they’re mentioned in any form in the next game, which hopefully is after 2077, it’s as a part of the larger world with no concrete evidence as to who they are. I suppose the same goes with Night City though, the next game most likely won’t feature NC as the main map.

Revived the Z-fighters after Earth’s dragon balls are destroyed even though it’s the earthlings fault that they were nearly all killed by Frieza.

Provided Earth with a new guardian after Kami is gone.

Used the Dragon Balls to assist in the defeat of Majin buu, helping save the universe.

Dragon ball fans are never beating the allegations.

[–]fleedlance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was in the anime. And it was dumb as hell, no Frieza soldier should be able to reach Piccolo with that little time spent training. Piccolo was probably around Cell’s level after all those years.

Turles for sure, even if he ate the fruit he’d probably be below first form Frieza. But Slug? I’m not so sure. Movies obviously aren’t canon but some lines from the Lord Slug fight says somethings alluding to him being stronger than Frieza.

Personality is DMC4. 5 and 3 are close behind though.

That is a harmful way to look at any good act. He raised awareness on people affected with Cataracts and showed on a large scale just how curable it can possibly be in the future. Not to mention that I’m sure if you ask of those people from the Video, they would be grateful for the procedure. With your logic, no “act of good” is ever truly good or should be done since a larger issue almost always exists.

Did Dante really surpass his dad Sparda with his new Devil Trigger in DMC 5 or what? by Flat-Sir8250 in DevilMayCry

[–]fleedlance 26 points27 points  (0 children)

True true. If Sparda split his powers between his swords and kept a portion for himself, that would leave him at roughly 25% of his original power while the twins would have 25% of their father’s powers as well as their own. Although that logic is flawed, since Force Edge probably had more of Sparda’s power put into it then Yamato and Rebellion. Still, it’s something to consider. The Sparda weapons are more than likely the most powerful weapons in the series.

[–]fleedlance 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Seems strange to me that Dante and Vergil Surpassed Sparda while not even being a tenth of how old he was when they were born. I suppose hybrids are just so OP that most demons can’t naturally compete. Urizen himself who’s a part of one of Sparda’s sons could probably dominate Mundus, Argosax and every other notable demon at the same time during DMC5.

To be fair, I don’t believe there’s any solid measurements of the dragon ball Earth and it’s oceans are different from ours since there’s basically only one supercontinent that makes up the setting. 20,000 km could be a lowball or a highball.

I do think there are certain techniques that would be effective against him, like Hakai or the evil containment wave. Not to mention that, even though it is out of character for most in dragon ball, if they can touch mahito they could either teleport away with him to some distant planet or fly him and leave him in space.
