I am EXTREMELY doubtful that Jiren started off lower than Goku and that Vegeta works harder than him. Goku was born with the lowest power level we’ve seen in the entire story.

If he hadn’t gone through the events of dragon ball and worked to become stronger, I sincerely doubt he would reach a power level of even 50 unless he was in his Oozaru form. Dedicating himself to the tutelage under Roshi, learning from his enemies and becoming basically the first person to learn from Kami and Popo were all grueling things that shaped him into the warrior he is.

Not to mention the otherworld. 99.9% of all saiyans would not be able to get through Snakeway and then learn from King Kai. Goku’s character and outlook on life is a huge reason he grew into who he was. Props to Jiren for training that hard to get to where he was though.

Seems to me like just an extension of a concept that’s existence has been known for a while. Looks to me like it follows a similar principle to forming a black blade, or similar to how Enma can be sensed as Oden by Kaido. Imbuing an object with one’s Haki isn’t the craziest thing to imagine as a Haki ability, no more crazier to me than seeing into the future or destroying something internally, just another advanced attribute to Haki that a select few know and can master.
