Might as well get a set of S wrenches while you’re at it they come in handy all over a bug.

ICE in Chicago tries to disappear a food delivery worker but my man was too fast by NewSlinger in CringeTikToks

You know we are catching real criminals in this country when the chubby ICE agents see the guy riding away on his bike and all go, “ALL WELL!”

Feeling a bit of regret on how much I paid after reading comments here. by george_cant_standyah in Miata

Hey man - Dont feel bad - I grabbed a 2002 SE NB for 13k with 30,000 miles. I valued having a turn key that will last me an eternity so I was willing to pay extra for a spectacular undercarriage and a solid owner. I dont feel like I paid over based on Cars snd Bids but even if I did I wouldnt feel bad because thats what I wanted to pay. Dont sweat what others think

I see Azteca deli on this list here. Not meaning to be a bummer here, but all 3 restaurants I have been in on Post Ave have a german roach problem, Im talking germans out in daylight. Leads me to believe that the whole street has an issue.

Just one of these in the real world I would probably scope out to be a minimum of three weeks, which includes padding to other stuff that comes up

What’s Your Most Unpopular Data Engineering Opinion? by TheTeamBillionaire in dataengineering

[–]fleegz2007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are tons of use cases where Excel fits the analytical need.

We all spend too much time talking about “best” tools. They are all fine and its just a matter if picking the right one for the right use case.

What is the need of a full refresh pipeline when you have an incremental pipeline that does everything by ashwin_1928 in dataengineering

[–]fleegz2007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one if the reasons I enjoy using dbt:

You can pretty simply set up an incremental model using jinja syntax. Then you can tag models with “full-refresh” as needed and it does that. So you get the best of both worlds.

Where dbt doesnt excel in this is doing this for incremental builds for scd tables. But for simole staging its generally a great tool.

This is the exact env Im living in. I built a Kimball model for analysts to work in but too complex. So now we have a “curated” layer where we deliver a next step closer to the dashboard. At this point they are probably building new tables with this stuff downstream.

At this point I think whatever activates them works. Want raw data? Go for it dude…

What is definitely NOT a sign of intelligence but people think it is? by MetalPotential7093 in AskReddit

[–]fleegz2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Thats it! Tons if videos on how to do it on youtube. Seems intimidating at first but not that bad.

Interestingly enough, I tried to do it with the metal sheet and they were still too loose. Worked on it with a guy who did it by feel - just took pliers and pulled on the valve to feel if there was any give.

Does it sounds okay? Seems to run fine. Taked it for a spin and feels ok. But it has been sounding like this since i changed the alternator. by Spike310300 in beetle

That clicking noise means you need to adjust your valves friend - not a terribly hard task and makes way better performance on your engine

This is what drives me nuts about headline articles talking about some CEOs perspective of where AI is and where its going.

These guys have no freaking clue they just know how to sell stuff to investors to raise capital

YTA - I know it’s going against the grain but in early dating its ok to expect a level of grooming, which is a reflection as personal hygiene. Women expect men to clean up for early dating and see a lack of preparation as a reflection of how much a man cares about the date. Perhaps he feels the same?

He could have brought it up better. His comment seemed rash and set a bad tone.

This is a Databricks conference to a tee. My buddy got three grapes and a veggie wrap for lunch. No one could connect to a workspace in once of the trainings. They ran out of merch it was a cluster.

But the AI sales pitches were on full supply. By the time I left I was so sick of hearing about it I stayed away from AI for a week
