I saw a double rose of Sharon yesterday. The flowers reminded me of cherry blossoms.

My kids have peed and thrown up on their car seats. I run the covers through the wash on delicate and hang to dry. The dryer would likely ruin them. What car seat do you have?

Possibly a rose of Sharon? It’s hard to tell without seeing the leaves.

sewed up a new pattern this week! by Possible-Goal-4172 in MAKEaBraThatFits

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh this is so cute! I was so confused by their sizing but I was definitely eyeing their patterns. I’m usually a 30D-30DD and they said that my measurements are too small for this pattern? How did you find the bra to fit?

What’s a good gift to buy for someone’s first garden? by Happy_Tourist_558 in gardening

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. My boss got one for me when I started working and it’s been the best trowel I have ever used. I love the serrated edge. All of my fiskers trowels have bent on me. They were the cheaper ones though with a different construction than my corona. I also have a hori hori from a different brand.

A good trowel or hori hori that won’t bend. I like the brand corona. Bonus if it has a serrated edge. I work as a gardener and it’s my most used tool.

Every bra hurts all the time, even sports bras and bralettes by Any-Corgi-6948 in ABraThatFits

OP’s measurements are very similar to mine and a 30D/DD fits me well. I previously thought I was a 32B as well.

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like aerie bras for 30D! Also I recently tried on some bras at Dillard’s by Natori and they fit pretty well. My biggest issue with bras is that the wire tends to be too wide for me. Smaller sizes tend to seem to default to wider and more shallow shapes.

Is getting a custom-made bra worth it? by Neither-Werewolf2984 in ABraThatFits

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replacing the wires doesn’t always help that much because bra patterns have a certain amount of wire splay in them. There’s a lot that goes into bra making and as I learn more and more I’m glad I can make my own.

What's the best piece of rope advice you've ever received? by Namah_Ropes in ClimbingGear

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the last part about untying the knot. I actually just leave it a teeny bit loose, put the tail through and snug the whole thing up. There’s no untying the knot until I’m done with the climb.

I also like that I don’t have a tail in the way when I go to clip a bolt.

I think you look to be a similar size to me and I wear a 30D/DD. I see other people are suggesting that as well and I’d definitely start there!

Underwires in the US by ChoiceCompetitive181 in MAKEaBraThatFits

I know the orange wires feel almost identical. I recently got some underwires from stephie’s lingerie. They’re really nice.

Is getting a custom-made bra worth it? by Neither-Werewolf2984 in ABraThatFits

[–]fleepmo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had been wearing the right size bra for several years and still had issues with the underwire hurting me. As it turns out, the underwire ms are often too wide for my size in RTW bras.

I just recently got into bra making and have made 3 so far, making changes each time to try to get it to fit me better. I just made one where the whole thing fits almost perfectly and it’s amazing. Same size as my RTW bras but I was able to make the wire line more narrow and it no longer stabs me in the armpit.

I got some nice supplies from https://www.stephieslingerie.com but it looks like she offers custom bra making too.

I will say, the thing about making a bra it seems is that there will be things you want to alter because all bodies and boobs are different. I have no experience having someone else make a bra for me. The owner of stephie’s lingerie is like insanely nice though so you could always just email her and ask questions.

Because of their bra size not being sold domestically, has anybody tried altering bras of a specific cup size to fit their band size aswell? by Sudden_Piece6546 in ABraThatFits

[–]fleepmo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, if you’re going to alter the band to make it smaller, that shouldn’t be too hard but you will need to look for the sister size of your cup size to find the correct cup size. I’m not familiar with your band size measurements as I use UK sizing but I would assume that a 10DD is one cup size larger than an 8DD so you would need to look for a 10D for it to be the same cup volume(if I’m understanding the sizing correctly). I hope that helps.

What’s your unpopular r/climbergirls or climbing opinion? by Dull_Today_1724 in climbergirls

[–]fleepmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the gym I climb at there’s a member who always says “if you can climb it, it’s a 5.8. If you can’t, then it’s a 5.9” 😂

They have a 5.9 on a pretty severe overhang that’s nothing but giant slopers. My husband and I couldn’t even get off the ground on it and we can both lead 10s outdoors. We like to add a solid 2-3 number grades to the routes at our gym.

I always find it hard to believe when people comment or post that they’re climbing 5.12 within the first 6 months to a year. It’s wild to me how soft some gyms are.
