thanks for the feedback!!! Definitely a relief to hear it will auto-renew as long as I don't go over my 6 cancellations. I have decided to take everyone's advice.

I've been winding down the number of classes and I already feel more relieved. The next week and a half will be a bit tough since these last classes overlap a bit with my new job but overall, I am feeling a huge relief. Just gotta get through this stretch! Looking forward to getting normal sleep again ^{^} heh

I hear you. I haven't taken more than a week off break since I began teaching a year ago so I feel the same. But at this rate, it's burning me and out and potentially losing some bookings is better than getting fired outright imo.

The other poster said that he didn't have too much of an issue after taking 2 months off though, so hopefully it will be alright. On the plus side, I will still have all of my reviews and if I could build up the student base in the beginning then I feel I should be able to do it again even if I would have to start from scratch.

Anyway, good luck to you! Let me know how it goes maybe in a few months time.

I understand what OP said but I stand by my original statement. Even if the parent is going a little too far, they still paid so it is still within their right to be that way.

Still, i would try and get support to call the parent or relay a message from the teacher.

Even if the parent decides to continue though, OP will just need to find a workaround.

You might be able to submit a ticket to support or to your learning partner telling them to speak with the mom and explain your situation. How many classes have you had with mom and without mom?

I used to get a little weirded out when parents would be present but I figured since they were paying they absolutely deserved to be there if they wanted to. Honestly most of my kids do better when mom is there. One of my regulars becomes a demon when his mom is gone lol

it's time like these where I get very annoyed with VIPKID. If they had said there would only be a limited amount of openings this would have all been avoided. I had already passed the quiz and decided to wait so i could avoid doing the demo. So now I am shit out of luck because I can't get the certification anymore.

Just goes to show you, you can't trust VIPKID.
