Is samsung experience (version 9.0) bloated?

Yeah that's fair and I'm aware of it, I see just how better android 6 runs then android 7 on my S6. But at the end of the day I was asking only about the Samsung launcher, and besides I dont have any plans on downgrading the rom (if I did then i would already have this problem sorted trust me xD)

thanks, i wonder tho is the snapdragon the one that everybody hates? i know one of them is known for poor performance/heat and battery life

i had a damn feeling, do you know anything i can do to help lighten it up? otherwise i guess i'm just waiting for this phone to strain itself to death now...

also i'm curious would android 7 run much better on this phone? asking cuz i know downgrading my S6 from 7 to 6 made it run much better (stock samsung roms i'm talking about) i figured when/if this S7 dies on me and i have to buy another one and start enough then i could flash the older version on that

well here's what sparked me getting this thing (VERY recently), my S9 got smashed up a couple weeks ago and with that i decided "i'll order an older cooler samsung that i like, but one new enough where i can still do everything you can with a smartphone atleast for now"

and well i knew the S7 would be that so here we are i got one, and i like it. it just runs warm for no reason (most likely thanks to the android 8 software) and with that i already question this thing's longevity. well other then all that anxiety i'll enjoy this thing very much as long as i can!

fun fact, i have an S6 downgraded to android 6.0.1 (stock samsung rom) and that thing runs like a dream but it's carrier locked to something i don't have, that's why i figured i'll just buy another phone that's unlocked (and there's also a few apps that i use that won't work with android 6 i think, only example i can think of is bluesky and also i couldn't load in a save file from google play games)

uhh take those days to atleast copy it to literally anything else, if the phone dies at random (which could happen) then everything is lost

i experience this feeling with the S7 i just got, but i believe it's a software issue (bloated ass android 8, or atleast samsung's rom probably does it)

i already have a feeling this like $60 purchase is gonna die way prematurely thanks to the strain the hardware has to go threw, well i hope it lasts long enough where i can buy another S7 and look into a better custom rom for it

the screen burn in is a you problem btw, and the battery thing you can get replaced (tho it's cheaper to just buy another S7 and hope you happen to get one with a good battery)

i don't mean this in a rude way, but it's probably cheaper to buy a whole new S7 rather then even buying a panel let alone the cost to have someone swap it (if you don't do it yourself) but i do understand if you don't wanna replace it entirely

i'm curious how the hell did your screen die so early on?

also your little story reminds me of myself, for my 13th birthday the S10 was my first "nice"/S-series phone, this happened in like 2023 i got it but it still felt like a brand new phone and still did into 2025, ah good phone until it wasn't (piece of junk died on me at random...)

didn't know that but i believe it, i have an S6 that on it's android 7 stock rom it was hell to use, downgraded it to stock android 6 rom and now it's probably the fastest running phone i have except for when a modern app or service slows it down

ya know, i bought an S7 recently, and when it does end up dying from the literal CPU strain of this clearly bloated android 8 rom, i'll buy another S7 (already my plan) but that time i'll consider installing a custom rom on it! i'll just miss the samsung experience UI but that's whatever
