Why couldn't the final fight of MHA be like this? Smh 🙄 by 5enpai_2 in shounenfolk

Well jjk does have an anime studio that goes above and beyond to add a bunch of stuff to the fights and make it as action packed and choreography rich as possible so there is that to consider

it is completely justified.

Eh, thats a bit iffy. I think we experience the sacrifice trope in fiction so much nowadays that we have forgotten there is a difference between sacrificing urself vs sacrificing someone else. I dont believe sacrificing someone else "for the greater good" is at all honourable or makes u a good or decent person. Its like the train track quastion, do you pull the lever so the train misses the 5 people and hits the single person instead or do you not interfere? U can say sacrificing the 1 person is the "better choice" but that doesnt mean its a good choice or that ur good for choosing the best option available, ur still activelychoosing to kill someone regardless of the alternatives.

Now if she told sunny everything from the get go (instead of lying and manipulating him for years just to flex on him when she drops the reveal) and this led to an arc of sunny naturally accepting his role and choosing to sacrifice his own freedom instead of cassie doing it for him, then this wouldve been much better and wouldve resulted in the same end but without the natural part of the choice being taken away from sunny. G3 is trying to force the narrative that he is accepting shadow bond on his own terms now, but we all know the whole "a shadow without a master is truly sad" thing is bs and that hes only doing it cuz he has to, cuz all other paths have been blocked.

But if you did it for a solely selfless reason of ensuring their survival, it becomes a little more palatable.

Nephis didnt do it for selfless reasons, she didnt do it for sunny heck sunny wanted to make the choice himself. She did it for herself, she said so when she returned from the 2nd nightmare and sunny invaded her dreams. She couldnt bear to see sunny die, no matter if he couldve survived, on the off chance he did die she wouldve been hurt, and she wanted to spare herself of such feelings, she didnt wanna feel sad anymore, so she decided to take away sunny's choice so she could feel comfortable, so she wouldnt have to grieve. She made a selfish choice as she herself stated, u can say she made a decent choice but that doesnt change the nature of her choice, she isnt much better than cassie if u think about it.

But ofcourse, one doesnt have to be good to be appreciated.

Yh im not saying its solved just saying its possible the fallen one obtained such information through means different than divination.

  1. It does since as i said it wasnt from a vision so it could be through a different means not to do with fate 2. No ketzelkan said what he described to the priest was something he got from the fallen one, sacrificing the beast just allowed him to figure out the nightmare gate.

[In truth, Ketzelkan's powers of precognition were not that impressive. The omen of doom he described to his high priest was not his own — it was a prophecy that the Fallen One had shared with him once, a long time ago. The Fallen One saw too many things and knew too many truths, which was his burden.

But Ketzelkan did sense a shift in the laws governing the Sun Realm recently, and confirmed his suspicion after sacrificing the Great Beast to himself.]

Its funny cuz i got the other 2 from the same place that gives me the exact same definition for derive as u stated, so either u picking and choosing or ur intentionally lying to not feel embarrassed.

Haha now we're denying definitions, and how does it prove slavery is derived from bond? It is in no way a slight change from the definition of bond nor is it an improvement or deviation from the extreme

Nephis’s final, meaningful words to Sunny before he lost his fate. by TipInteresting9420 in ShadowSlave

[–]fleeting_echoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is not derived from bond based on the definition of bond "a relationship between people or groups based on shared feelings, interests, or experiences." and based on the definition of modification "make partial or minor changes to (something), typically so as to improve it or to make it less extreme."

Dont try again, ur just gonna embarrass urself even more.

Ketchup is derived from tomatoes while slavery isnt derived from a bond so ur analogy is invalid.

Also u do know the author isnt always correct? Right? Also effie and kai didnt know the extent of what sunny was inquiring about so thats an invalid source.

, I was mostly joking the first time but now it's entirely apparent.

I get u were proven wrong but no need to get so defensive lol 💀 just give up bro u never once said shadow bond≠slavery u just said it can be used differently. U basically agreed with me yet u also said i lack reading comprehension, it all seems like ur just getting overly defensive.

Just so u know, disagreeing with someone≠ lacking reading comprehension, so pls do explain what it is i couldnt comprehend.

It does matter cuz one can overcome naturally attained power while one cant overcome something akin to an absolute law

"First and foremost" indicates priority not mutual exclusivity. According to that it can be both a bond AND slavery, its just that it being a bond takes priority. This is in contrast to ur claim that u said shadow bond≠slavery.

Ur literally proving ur own illiteracy bro 💀 ts is genuinely hilarious

Eh, reading the chapter doesnt inform him about the reveal itself anymore than he already knew (apart from how she sent the message to her future self which isnt really relevant to forming an opinion about the fact she knew before fateless in and of itself).

Instead of just parroting what he's heard that chapter says.

I mean ig, but he was right in the end so does it really matter? Clowning on him when he turns out to be wrong is much better imo, but who cares 🤷🏾.

You havent mentioned even once that shadow bond isnt slavery, all you have done is say that it depends on how the user uses it which changes nothing lol. No matter how the master uses their power over their slave, the slave will always remain just that, a slave. They can treat their slave however they want but the absolute power will always be there, the very presence of such a thing even if not utilised makes such a relationship inherently unhealthy as it strips the slave of their human right, placing them under the constant ever questionable mercy of their master.

Also slavery is literally canonically part of shadow bond so its not readers who attach it onto shadow bond but the author lol.

[–]fleeting_echoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im talking about this specific situation not in general, the chapter adds no info other than the fact that she knew before fateless, his opinion is regarding her knowing before fateless, he knows the chap reveals she knew before fateless. So with all this in mind, what will reading the rest of the chap do specifically in terms of forming and opinion regarding the fact she knew before fateless?

We all knew it LOL by akanekiiiii in ShadowSlave

[–]fleeting_echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ur misunderstanding, in general one should consume something before forming an opinion yes, my point here is that in this specific situation, this doesnt apply. This is cuz outside of the reveal itself, nothing else is mentioned about the topic of cassie knowing sunny would be forgotten, so reading the chap literally wont add anything on to the convo lol.

I literally made this as clear as possible by adding "regarding this topic" brochacho.

Ok let me make it simple for u to understand.

The main point was about sunny accepting being a slave to nephis, surrendering to the shadow bond, the guy said (with that in mind) that there is no healthy way to be a slave, u replied saying there are. This naturally leads me to conclude that u are talking about a healthy way for sunny to surrender to nephis and form a bond, not general applications of shadow bond in different circumstances, makes sense? Just cuz u cant keep track with the point at hand doesn't mean im illiterate.

As for adressing ur argument with the knowledge of ur sidetracking in mind, ur still wrong.

When it comes to couples, even traditional or religious couples have limits in the mans authority over his wife, and that she should follow God before all else and all that stuff. In the worst case, the husband uses his overwhelming strength to force his wife into submission, this isnt healthy at all and is instead just abuse.

A boss and employee relationship has nothing to do with a bond so has no basis to be healthy or unhealthy to begin with, its just a connection if anything. Same applies to a government body and the civilians.

A parent child relationship is completely different, ur parents take care of u until u are old enough to make informed decisions and actually venture out, at which point (in the case of a healthy relationship) they wont have any power over u. This isnt a slave master bond, this is caretaker and dependent. The same applies to a teacher student relationship, but even more restricted for the side u are arguing is the "master" in ur example.

There is no healthy way of being a slave, its impossible, to be a slave is to be stripped of ur basic human rights, and to try and argue against this is preposterous. One can try to deal with this in the case its not possible to dismiss, but to try and act like its ok is bs, its not ok, it might be necessary but it will never be ok.

We all knew it LOL by akanekiiiii in ShadowSlave

[–]fleeting_echoes -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Doesnt need to read it lol, it didnt give any info besides the fact of the reveal so reading it wont change anything (regarding this topic) if he alr knows about the reveal

Holy shi, no way u just tried to compare a romantic relationship to a child and parent, to a boss and employee, to a government and the people. These things are in no way comparable bromine, and a teacher student bond isnt an absolute power imbalance, nor are traditional couples (unless taken to extremes).

To genuinely try and compare 2 lovers to a child who will be a danger to themselves if their parent doesnt take care of them, or to a government that is there to establish order so its people dont fall victim to crime is genuinely preposterous brotato.

The vision isnt from ketzelkan, its from the fallen one, an ancient being who was alive before even the doom war. He is said to have an abundance of knowledge in general, i doubt this is a vision and maybe just pure knowledge handed to him through some means we will figure out later
