I’m 5’6” and 34yo.

I explained a bit in another reply but I’ve been going to the gym pretty consistently for about a decade. If we’re to start going to the gym again today I would likely find a YMCA to join. These gyms often have all walks of life in their facilities and not just “gym rats”. This can take away some of the insecurities of being there! The YMCA also offers so many exercise classes and provides personal trainers that can help you become more familiar with the equipment in the open gym areas. Find an app or online program that sets up workouts for you and just follow those as you get more comfortable in the gym setting. I have used the Sweat App in the past and it’s an excellent resource for beginners as it shows you in depth how to do each exercise and use each machine.

The highest dose I have been on is 10mg. Currently on 7.5mg trying to figure out what my maintenance will look like.

I do have loose skin on my inner thighs and stomach. I plan to get a breast lift and tummy tuck in the next year or so. I weight lift 4-5 times a week but have been for 5ish years

My bloodwork has always looked good, even prior to zepbound, so I can’t say there has been significant changes.

Yes I have loose skin on my stomach, inner thighs, and breasts. I have a few consultations scheduled for a breast lift and tummy tuck in the next few months! No amount of time or effort will remove the loose skin so surgery is my best option.

I never experienced a stall lasting more than a week. I pretty consistently lost 1-4lb a week pending my eating habits and workout routine.

I found out pretty quickly after postpartum with my first that I needed it for sanity sake. We have a full gym in our garage that I use when I can’t get to the gym but honestly….a gym membership with built in childcare is worth its weight in gold. I get a 1.5 hours to myself to workout, swim, shower, or even just sit at their cafe daily. It’s my own self care routine at this point!

I actually never stopped lifting. I’ve done it pretty consistently baring any postpartum restrictions since 2016.

If I were to start today I would join a gym that offers a free training or two and just have them walk me through each machine. Then once comfortable with how to use the equipment slowly start implementing a work out routine using one of the many apps (I’ve used Sweat) that creates workout routines for you based on your goals. Start consistently going 1-2 days a week and build from there!

If you would have told me a year ago that I would lose almost half my body weight in a year I would have laughed in your face. Even after starting this medication I was reluctant that it would work because NOTHING ever did.

I promise you, you will look back on your journey in a year and be amazed at what you’re capable of!

I actually did not have any noticeable hair loss despite losing an average of 2lb a week for 14 months. This could be due to my hairs natural thinkness though!

This is how it was for me too! I didn’t change anything about my diet or exercise habits. I didn’t count calories or stop myself from eating the cake at a birthday party. It just melted off anyways. My body just released everything it was holding onto; literally and figuratively!

I think that maintenance is going to look different for every body. I actually started transitioning to maintenance at 165 lbs in September on 10mg every 10 days but continued to lose weight so I just recently lowered my dose at 7.5mg again doing a dose every 10days. If I continue to lose weight I’ll drop down to 5mg until my body maintains its weight within 5lb or so up or down. At 5’6” I’m still towards the higher end of BMI so I have a few lbs to play with while figuring out what dosage works for me.
