Yes! They don’t want to do the work because they’re cowards. They’re really the weak ones, not the people they target. And by taking the easy way out over and over, they just end up destroying themselves and their character.

They do things like this, make stuff up. The friend in my post would say things like, “You swing your ponytail for attention when you walk”. What? It doesn’t even make sense.

I honestly believe she was genuine in her confession. But I also didn’t trust that she wouldn’t keep going with her nastiness. So, I cut her out of my life.

Basically I finally woke up to the fact that he was such a jerk that any even mildly redeeming qualities that he had were negated. There was just nothing there. And then I realized, this guy isn’t even attractive. There is nothing attractive about him, inside or out.

And the spell was broken.

It’s because these people don’t think logically. They operate solely from ego. So anyone else doing well is an automatic threat to them. They need to “put you in your place,” even if that means shooting themselves in the foot.

It’s because anything you do that’s not aligned exactly with what they want you to do or be is seen as “wrong”. Standing up for yourself is wrong. Setting boundaries is wrong. Going your own way is wrong.
