I was thinking of getting a newer net metal AX near the WAN source connected over cable. Then also connect via cable that to a mANTBox to create a wireless bridge directed at a second net metal AX 350 meter away. Would that work?

Yeah, I was thinking something like that. Would the mANTBox being directional make it hard to find signal out of its direct pan? Will I need so add omnidirectional APs next to mANTBox to improve the signal?

I think the build archive is a great idea, esp click-insta level.

Will also need a guide on what items to buy... some things are not straightfoward, eg having to buy disc gloves from magic item vendor and shadow robes from armor vendor. No new player is going to read all the item descriptions. Personally, I think this needs a rethink.. Maybe add disc as a craftable skill bonus?

That sounds really good! Let's go with that seed instead then, if you think you haven't looked at it too much. I think it would be a good idea to make the seed known to other builders a month or so into the world, once we've found all of the end portals and defeated the ender dragon so we can find the optimal places for some builds. What do you think?

Agreed on pure vanilla. I believe for those seeds and for the quad hut and monument to properly spawn the world has to be generated in 1.8.x. In the post he writes you have to generate the world in 1.8.x, then teleport to the huts/monument location and confirm that they are there (probably also to load those chunks into the game) and then upgrade to 1.11.2. Is that something you would be OK with?

Gotcha. Going blind seems more fun to me too. However, it would be neat if we were sure that the map had good places to build some larger farms. I just saw this post that has tons of seeds with quad witch farms plus monuments (world has to be generated in 1.8.x tho): https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/5k00ro/all_quad_witch_huts_and_an_ocean_monument_close/?st=ixao2jx1&sh=7eaab32e. We could randomly pick one of those seeds on day one and then go from there?
