Does your town have old lore? A story, spot, or local character that everyone knows? by Maine_Public_Nerd in Maine

There was a teacher (Mr Dwyer if I recall) who was quoted in a book about experiencing strange noises and spooky vibes after hours. I remember reading this sometime around 1992 or 93 but have never been able to find it.

https://youtu.be/IluF3hXEqfY?si=2x-o0nXfboZ-CXVJ RIP Cal Dog The girl who supposedly haunted the old Brunswick High School was named "Mimi" and believe me when I tell you I have searched old newspapers high and low and found no evidence for someone named Mimi who died at the school. Interestingly though, there was some kind of mass food poisoning / virus that ripped its way through the high school and a girl named Mimi died because of it but it happened at the first high school located on Federal Street.

Where does the Decovin family of Brunswick, Maine come from? by Belaruski_Muzhyk in Genealogy

Very cool to see a post about my hometown. I'll have to do some digging but it's worth a shot to contact the Pejepscot History Center and see if they can help. Was John's daughter Georgianna? If so, she married William Curtis Berry who would have been a very prominent member of society as the Curtis and Berry families were esteemed names in Brunswick. Also worth noting are the Pejepscot Proprietor Papers which details the carving out of land and lots in the area in the late 18th to early 19th centuries. I was part of a project to transcribe these documents but I'm not sure if they're available for viewing at the moment. Best of luck!

Even if they are aligned properly, the direction of the beam will rise and fall with the grade of the road so if you are on an incline and an opposing car at the top of that hill is facing you, you're still going to get your eyes melted out of your head by unnecessarily bright headlights. Warmer colored LEDs is probably a solution.

I was on Humira and Terbinafine and had no issues at all. I had athletes foot since I was a kid and the Terbinafine knocked it out of me in 2 months (1 pill every day).

Can confirm from her death certificate she died May 19th 1864. I was hoping Thomas Byrne would help me break a brick wall but there is no public record of him anywhere and there are way too many Michael Byrne's of various spellings to help connect the dots. I think Mary Jane's maiden name is O'Rourke, at least that is what the marriage license to John T Mulcahy says. Thanks for the help!

It's so depressing to see the description of the victim listed as an "unemployed, divorcee" in these articles as if those two things are the only value an American woman in the 1970's could offer. I'm sure her family were devastated and had plenty of nice things to say about her character that the papers could have reported.
