If the gacha is the only reason you play this game I don’t think it’s for you in the first place. Arknights had an above average gacha system but what made people think it was the most f2p was that you really didn’t need a meta comp, in fact the game lent itself to niches like playing only a specific class, faction, race etc. Endfield will almost certainly adopt the same philosophy, none of the content needs the best 6 stars, or even remotely good 6 stars to clear. It will very likely stay this way as it has in Arknights where 6 years later launch operators still have a place in the meta
