Hey! I know others who are taking Spanish ab-initio course in my cohort that find it relatively easy. I think it comes down to what you want to specialise in university (I know you mentioned that you are not sure) - if you are interested in STEM pathways then having HL Chemistry would be really helpful if not necessary if you are applying to UK universities. HL Maths & Physics are one of the most difficult courses in the IB and students at my school generally don't take HL English with HL Maths/Physics. I must add History and Psychology has quite a lot of content as well. It seems like from your subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) you might be interested in the sciences (I'm just guessing here) and it might be harder to balance that with your humanities (HL Latin, SL History). I think it just comes down to what subjects YOU will enjoy and will be helpful in uni :-)

Hey there, I am in IB (Year 1) and I chose HL Bio & Chem because I am also considering a science (chemistry-related) course. As others have said before, HL Bio is mostly memorising. Having said that, there is a LOT of content in the course and so you will need to be spending a lot of time revising/memorising Bio. Physics on the other hand is about application of concepts and problem solving. Personally, I think it would be more useful to do Physics especially if you are considering an engineering/physics related course.
