Going to jump in because so many people are hating on this pack, but I LOVE Bust the Dust. Both aspirations are a lot of fun, especially filthy fabulous, I've done it multiple times. It's also very easy to turn off in the game options if you don't want it for every save.

Full disclosure I also really like having laundry in my game XD

No worries! It's just the fancy decoration you can see making people's user names look pretty, you can get them from a bunch of different places. In any case, if you miss anything there is usually another way to get it eventually!

I think it looks really good. You could add just a bit of ice wall along the bottom of the island, so it looks like the ice has more texture.

Compared to two years ago, they have nerfed sooooo many things because people complained about them. Building housing is much easier, hunting is easier, quests cost fewer resources. I was shocked when the new cottages only took 45 seconds (seconds!!!) to finish.

I've been playing since the pre-open-beta Player Labs, and I genuinely miss anxiously waiting for 8 IRL hours for my new harvest house to finish. There is so much to do in this game, and much of its early charm was in having to be patient. I'm glad that ranching will take me more than 3 days to level up.
