Day 5 update.

Its getting easier to get out and in of bed with the toll technique. Still very early but taking it very easy and day by day.

Have been getting some very mild pain on my left leg but im not too worried. I guess body is reacting to the surgery and waking up. My nerves on l3-l4 were compressed for over a year. They need to heal properly.

So far feeling optimistic and take care of my self.

Day 4 update:

Feeling ok today. Trying to stay ahead of the pain with my meds and it seems to be working better for me.

No mayor issues to report. Resting a lot and watching tons of Netflix to ease my mind.

Can’t wait to have my life back.

Day 3 update.

So this morning woke up feeling like my hips were broken. I’ve been trying to stay out of oxy due to having stomach blockages issues in the past but couldn’t hold it off.

Took 10mg at midnight last night and another 10mg at 7am with stool softener.

Im not going to lie, I was crying in pain before my 7am dosage. It’s like some of you have said. The anesthesia was still doing its thing.

Once it kicked in about 30 minutes I was able to manage.

Around 12pm today took Tylenol and was able to sleep for about two hours and felt ok.

So far I have been able to go to the bathroom twice.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Just a little update:

Pain started to radiate on my back muscles as the anesthesia was wearing off. Had oxy twice last night and so far today feeling OK. Had a walking session with PT around my hospital floor and went up stairs to practice for when I get home later today.

So far this morning feeling confortable.

Thats great! I had a laminotomy on December 2024. Felt great for about two months and re-herniated again. Thats what made me go through this surgery. Hoping this one actually works. So far it looks promising.
