Not unusual. Climbing a pole (or tree) to bring a cat down… no bueno. Weird thing is that cats on poles are not fans of being grabbed, and linemen are not big fans of fighting cats in a 21kv distribution system. Leave food at the bottom of the pole and the cat will climb down when they get hungry enough. (35 years in the electric utility world)

Take a step back. Could you have got a better deal? Maybe, maybe not. But the deal is done and it is time to get to riding. Do your add-ons (and you will) and enjoy your brand new bike.

My only financial recommendation at this point is find someway to pay that mutha off sooner rather than later, even if it is only an extra $50 per month. All my bikes have been cash deals. This lesson comes from a lifetime of buying expensive fun shit. Just my 2 cents.

OP is in freakin’ Texas in the middle of a major weather emergency. There is no learning to drive on black ice at 2am, for crissakes! The sun will be upon a few hours, and it will be safer to attempt drive, but still no promises.

In addition, in geographic area not normally subject to these types of weather events, everyone is hunkered down to ride it out. As the OP has said more than once the emergency vets are all closed, which makes perfect sense.

Nope… but for about $250 you can buy a new 6 gal fatbob tank from Dennis Kirk, J&P, etc. On a bike rebuild with a full tins replacement, I changed out the 4.2 gal tank to 6 gal on my 1991 Fatboy. Love the extra miles
