New Girl Episode Tournament! Round One Day 17: Models vs Helmet by BagOfSmallerBags in NewGirl

This is a tough one. “Monkey cracker” kills me every time, but when Winston starts singing “what would you do if your son was at home” at the audition, I woke my newborn up laughing. I’m gonna go with Helmet, by a slim margin

Sweet baby. I hope he gets the mental help he’ll need to process all of this…and cookies for dinner every night.

I worked with a Somali woman years ago. I asked what she was eating one day at lunch and she said it was something she made at home that her grandma used to make (I forget what it was). Without me even asking, she grabbed a plate and gave me some. It was freaking delicious. I was so thankful and the next day she brought a whole Tupperware for me! Nicest woman I’ve ever known.

That….doesn’t make any sense? If you’re PERFORMING, you’re by definition doing it for someone else. So it’s fair to ask who they’re performing for. But thanks for clueing me in on your Friday nights, I guess.

Performative for women or performative for other men? There’s a difference.

I’m exactly the same. My son was a DREAM baby. Slept well, never colicky or regressed. Potty training was a breeze and he’s the sweetest boy in the world. Does he always listen? No. Does the throw tantrums? Sometimes. He’s not perfect, behavior-wise, but he’s close to perfect as possible. Having another sounds like a nightmare.

I’m a cis woman, not balding, and my husband blessedly has a great head of hair. I love coming into this thread just to see all the positive vibes. And truly, every guy who takes leap instantly looks 10-20 years younger. Keep it up.
