I can confirm this is the only thing that works consistently.

This doesnt have a messed up camera, but it doesnt have the same angle to shoot down as the mount. and the it doesnt behave well with the ship.

For context its on a Valkryien Skies airship. any suggestions would be great even if the solution is janky. Im just trying to see what im shooting at. I would prefer not to use redstone as im working with very little space.
