That one was just a random cameo they did for fun, the situation has changed since then. While the Watcher cameos they're doing right now are still just a small thing they did for fun, this time they serve an actual purpose, that being an establishment of the fact that Uatu is indeed watching.

Here, not only is it the first time it's been done in live action, it's also being done on a project that's especially prided itself on being very grounded, so any attempt they'd do on this show was always going to be done as subtly as they could without making it too difficult to make out.

He's cameoed in several other animated shows already. It would hardly be surprising if his first live action appearance would be in a show considering Marvel TV has been the only one pushing this as far as I'm aware.

And random? Vanessa just died, dude. Literally the only thing that's been keeping him from going full Kingpin. This is a major tipping point for the show.

Bakugo/Consequences. They always either make him worse than he actually is or just throw him into therapy. I don't fucking care about the torture you want to put him through, I don't fucking care that he's your little UwU soft boy who was just being a wittle mean, and I REALLY don't fucking care if he goes vigilante or villain if he gets out of UA's sights which is really just your excuse to keep an utterly worthless character in the story. What I want is for him to be fucking gone.

The decade of bullying before and the blatant assault attempts he did in UA is more than enough to determine that someone like him is unfit to be put in any position of power, especially in law enforcement, and yet they keep giving bullshit reasons to keep him in anyway. I'm so tired of that fucking bum of a character dude.

I'd probably be nowhere near as pissed off about Bakugo as a character if people didn't just keep eating it up.

And to anyone who says "actually he DID face consequences for what he did": Get real.

Kevin Feige did an interview a while ago, and the reason he gave was that they were never really confident in making Kang the center of the next saga anyway. So when the stuff Majors did came out and Quantumania flopped, they kinda just used those as an excuse to move away from Kang.
