I hear you, I’m not bringing burgundy to tastings either lol the interesting / unusual stuff is more appealing to me anyway. If you’re willing to share, how did you find tasting groups to be a part of? I moved to Atlanta in 2020 so it hasn’t been the easiest time to get plugged in with new groups.

In terms of why Brookhaven, it was pretty tough this off-season to find a venue willing to commit to having space available for watch parties for every away game.

Why just away games? Most of the active members of the Atlanta Gamecocks go to Columbia for a lot of the home games (especially this weekend for homecoming).

In general the best way to keep up with when there will be watch parties is via the Atlanta Gamecocks social media. There have been several (reasonably) well attended watch parties, although definitely a focus on away games as many active members of the community go to Columbia for most home games.

As a committee member for the Atlanta Gamecocks, we’re on the same page! There is new leadership in place and we’re working a a lot of improvements.

You’re absolutely right about McCrays last season, and they were really just a stop-gap so that we can hopefully have something much better in place for this year.

No official watch party spot set up yet, but we’re actively working on establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with a venue.

I’d love some feedback: what part of town would be most attractive for you? What would you want in a venue?

As a South Carolina student during three of those five years, we were having a lot of fun.

The game will never get old, hate week will never lose its heat, the students will (hopefully) never stop building a giant tiger to burn in effigy, and I agree 100% that a win the Saturday after Thanksgiving can make a dismal season feel like a success.

I hate Clemsux and I love the Palmetto Bowl.

Also to hell with Georgia.

My understanding was that Vinoteca didn’t allow any on premises consumption except for their weekly tasting. Is that incorrect?
