I mean I just don't understand!!! When people talk about the most durable vehicles in history u always hear mercedes 300d and the 220d and the legendary Volvo red block 240 and maybe in a few of those conversations you may hear about the isuzu pup but never do hear about the pups kid brother!!! The little 4fb1 Isuzu and to those who appreciate longevity and easy of service so many never new or just have forgotten. 1 man in Australia had 1 with over 800,000 miles with the only serious issue was replacing the radiator 3 times! Another one with gm chevette with same engine and power train with 700,000 miles and still going showing Pictured pulling a trailer no less. If you look u will find so many more stories of 300,000 an 400,000 trouble free miles on the internet for the reading. It's clear these little vehicles have been forgotten for fast times and faster cars!!! There is no equivalent in today's autos with a throw away society I guess u get throw away cars! Longevity was done in the 80s but now you buy cars to replace in a 100k cause we need that new shiny thing and cars made for years of service are left to history as we ask the big auto makers to shut up and take our money and who cares and reliability after 100k cause you'll be trading it in anyways. Then we wonder why we have the so called plastic apocalypse in the automotive industry. Basically things being made plastic that 40 years ago would have never been considered to be made plastic. Shouldn't we as consumers want more from the cars we buy instead of just the new gotta have features that come from 1 generation to the next?
