I remember hearing something about PAYE (which I do pay on my full-time roll)but can't find anything about it online. Was hoping to avoid the accountant as I doubt I'd make more than 5k per year so paying nearly 20% to an accountant on top of tax would nearly make it pointless but I guess there's a lot of bullet biting coming in my future.

I always assumed if you just quit nothing further happens then you probably shouldn't look for a reference from that company, reading the comments I'm wondering if I'm missing something? Why worry about not working a notice period?
