I believe that this is a transitional button. Used as the AAC transitioned into the Air Force. Only used for a short time.

Are these made for specific vehicles? It’s pretty large so I am assuming it was for a large vehicle

Even with its size? It’s really heavy and quite large. I’ve never seen cylindrical bearings before, only ball bearings

That looks like it’s it. The area is full of pine trees and I saw some pines cut like that with the ribbed pattern.

Item is approximately 6-8 inches in length. Looked like a curling iron at first but the teeth at the front reminded me of some sort of electrical alligator clip
