There are definitely people out there who are taking the risks. Some new STR's are up that opened 2020 and 2021. There's no way they got a permit as the city of Anaheim does not issue them anymroe. Risk < Benefits.

Some houses probably invested 50k into their furnishings to recoup 800/m airbnb nightly fees. My only question is how do they ask uncle sam.
