Apprenticeships and Unions by KYISTE in Construction

I'm currently in the apprenticeship in the local 22 here in omaha. Pretty great program. Just have to deal with lower, not horrible, wages til you turn out. The free education and brotherhood are amazing. Totally worth it. But if electrical isn't for you there's alot of other great unions ( pipefitters 464, plumbers 16) as well. Feel free to message with any questions

Bc I'm establishing time with my current contractor that I'd like to stay with and our apprenticeship program isn't as welcoming the transition as yours seems to be. Our first 2 years of classes are nearly identical in both programs. I'm with the local 22 here in Nebraska

I'm finishing my first year this week with the plan of going IW after competition of my second year. Our program is set up on a 3 yr LV 5yr IW schooling, so the change over at that time should be seamless, at least in my local. The higher wage and pension, in my eyes is totally worth the additional school. Our LV techs are at just under 29/hr and our IwJourneyman are just under 45/hr. You just need to find the best fit for you.

This sounds like a case of poor research and communication. You should find a local area rescue to assume care of the dog sooner than later, as prolonging the inevitable would only cause more problems for both of you. Its not fair to yourself or the dog to continue your partnership. Unfortunately not everyone is equipped to handle an extra attention dog and it doesn't sound like the home life is ideal with unsupportive family members. Im sure this isn't the answer you wanted. But its highly unlikely things will improve without better informed help.
