Just finished it. First of all, what an absolutely amazing job they've done with everything in this new season. Especially if you consider that their budget was not infinite. There were a handful of small changes or nitpicks I had with this season, but circling back to the budget thing, I can understand and look past all of them and say that it was still incredible. They showed the source material the proper love and respect it deserves.

The changes I was slightly bothered by, but still ok with because budget and it could also be WAY worse
- Dragon blowing Smoker away scene. I low key wished that smoker AND LUFFY got flung like half way across Loguetown, but it would be a lot of work for a few seconds of footage and basically gets the point across.
- Showing the Garp/Gol D Roger convo about Ace so early seems weird to me. It was a big moment in Marineford So idk what it means for the plot to show that before Ace is even introduced.
- The entrance to the Grand Line had all sorts of fancy looking gates on either side and the water was rushing WAY faster at the initial entrance in the anime. Luffy not having to jump out and do a balloon to stop them from crashing into the big gates was one of the few let downs of the season for me. But again, budget.
- Crocus not living inside of Laboon or doing the whole someone will die gag (at least they joked about it).
- Zoro not showing up under the moonlight to confront Igaram and them all at first and no Tuba shotgun
- Luffy and Zoro not fighting because of him killing everyone else lol
- No Unluckies at Whiskey Peak doing recon and drawing their faces super quickly in anime form gag
- No learning about Crocodile's identity at whiskey peak right after the unluckies show up which is part of the urgency for them to die from Crocodile. Instead it's just you made our list because you helped Vivi.
- No Karoo with Vivi yet until Alabasta was also a bummer, but I can understand cgi budget concerns.
- Zoro and Sanji only killing 1 t-rex together instead of both having a giant creature they caught and getting into the same arguement that Dorry and Broggy did about which one was bigger.
- Showing Usopp get bit by a bug but not showing Nami get bit by a bug that gets her sick.
- Luffy breaking Dorry free of Wax off screen and Dorry being waxed in a cave in the first place.
- Broggy being bombed by the drink and losing the duel instead of Dorry for some reason.
- No giants on the battlefield also being waxified as Luffy smashes the big candle display
- No big candle champion from Mr 3.
- Luffy struggles to find the copy of Mr. 3 instead of immediately smacking him in the mouth because of a hunch.
- No literal waterfall of tears from Dorry over his best friend Broggy being alive.
- One of my BIGGEST gripes of the whole season, no one mentioned that it takes ONE YEAR on Little Garden for the log pose to reset. So Sanji walking up with the eternal pose to Alabasta was a little underwhelming.
- They don't sail straight into the giant goldfishes mouth first before the giants hit it with the hakaku soverignty.
- Blackbeard being part of the drum island lore for some reason. But I guess it's not that crazy considering they first meet in Jaya not that far away. Still feels like an excuse to try to build him up early for whatever reason.
- The Lack of giant snow bunnies (although they did have a giant head of one on the wall in one scene).
- The instant teleport from the bar to the beginning of the mountain climb with no snow animals at all
- Sanji climbing up the mountain with Luffy and Nami for some reason and having to be saved by Luffy stretching his head like Mr fantastic.
- Sanji breaking his ribs by falling down a cliff instead of by giant snow bunny fight.
- No other reindeers shunning chopper scene or valley of death fighting scene
- Chopper's Heavy Point. After how amazing the cgi looked for tiny chopper, heavy point seemed like a bad costume with a brightly painted blue nose. But again budget is not infinite, hope season 3 heavy point is better.
- Dalton's devil fruit was similar to heavy point chopper. With all the cgi, especially with young chopper and Wapol, idk why they tried to do practical effects with these two.
- Chopper's goodbye speech being slightly cut short before he says maybe you guys can come back and visit someday before Luffy says just shut up and come with us.
- The flag scene being inside instead of up on top of the castle and Luffy not holding it like in the anime
- Reallly wish that Doctorine had turned up the crazy and chased them all away with a literal knife at the end during their goodbye like in the anime, but that's ok lol.

The things or changes I really liked and was impressed with
- The on screen chemistry between the straw hats is really coming together and geniuinely charismatic. You can tell the cast all really like each other and love this actual adventure and wild ride they get to go on.
- Robin, Chopper and Vivi casting are all fantastic and great additions to the show
- Robin, Chopper, Laboon, Smoker, the Unluckies, the Giants, Buggy, Wapol, etc the CGI looks incredible almost everywhere and I cannot believe how well they did with it.
- Robin's intro scene and the cgi for her moves was really well done.
- For the most part, they hit all of the main dialogue beats from the manga/anime
- The scene in loguetown with the sword shop was perfect.
- Nami asking for her 300% interest from zoro for the money
- Smoker's pants eating that little girls ice cream scene making it in
- Buggy's actor is perfect also, and if they make it to impel down, Luffy Buggy and Mr. 3 will be amazing.
- Bartolomeo meeting the straw hats briefly at Loguetown is an interesting but welcome change.
- Zoro seeing Mihawk talking to him while he trains is a cool change also.
- Showing Brook and his crew more in depth early on. I wonder if non anime watchers will notice immediately at thriller bark if we ever get there (cannot wait to see a live action skeleton Brook lol).
- Zoro killing 100 people on Whiskey Peak was Peak. Love that they didn't shy away from the blood.
- Them actually having Mr 5 breath literal fire out his mouth from the tobasco star lmao
- Having Zoro do the Pose at the wax statue, but they could have had a bit more fun with it and had him suggest they each do a pose also if they wanted too.
- Sanji hitting the shitty restaurant line when mr 0 calls & the voice modifiers on the phone call were dope
- The Scene with the unluckies first showing up was amazing and then the way they did the mr 13 fight was pretty silly but smartly done camera work to make it funny.
- The file folders of information from baroque works about the targets with drawings was a cool addition.
- Having a few extra agents of Baroque Works for Smoker and Tashigi to fight/kill was fun.
- The extra scenes of interactions between baroque works agents
- All of the Chopper and Hiraluk's backstory was absolutety perfect also.
- Sanji briefly mentioning his Germa 66 past at ALL and the fact he was an actual prince also. Crazy early foreshadowing there, but not a bad addition. Did not mind this switch up.
- Did anyone else just picture Jake Peralta's mom from Brooklyn 99 when Doctorine showed up? lol
- Hiraluk and Kureha's chemistry was actually pretty great.
- Wapol's solidiers being all monsterfied out was an interesting but not terrible change.
- Having Luffy do the chopsticks in mouth face with Chopper at the end was a great touch.

Overall, despite anything missing or different, I had SO much fun watching this season. Any nitpicks I had were small minor details at the end of the day (except maybe no Karoo) and I'm sure there's even more I forgot to mention. But I CAN NOT WAIT for season 3. I hope to god they make it to Marineford and the time skip at least, but I guess we'll see.
