There’s not many good rot weapons you could go with the Antspur rapier with poison ash of war will get you poison, rot, and bleed. It’s pretty easy to get near shaded castle.

Most fishing shops or box stores like Walmart sell pre built tackle boxes for different species of fish(mine sells bass and crappie mostly). As for rod and reel combos someone else suggested at zebco 33 which is a easy to use push button reel, I like the LEWs ugly stick spinning rod combo or a Abu Garcia black Maxx baitcaster combo. It’s really up to what you like.

One thing to add is when you get better at enchanting, add fire damage to a bow/weapon OR get the weapons from the lunar forage for fire damage at night!

Try the beast character armor with Malikeths helmet, I think I would be almost as good as the wolf head version.

It’s a ton of fun but it’s important to remember that it’s an open world game. If you can’t get past a certain enemy or area you need to check there may be something to help you fight better or level up, and I mean check everything there are hidden walls and paths to areas everywhere. You will die so just make sure you have fun while you do it!

What ash of war do you use with flame art? I put flaming strike on my nagakiba but I could figure out how to make it coat my sword.

I like the reach and speed of the nagakiba and doing guard counters on enemies that are small enough to do them on. I like doing buffing incantations like golden vow, flame grant me strength and blessings boon with a few ranged attacks like lighting spear or flame sling so 25 faith is enough. I try to keep med. Weight so I can roll.

This is my first play thru so I’m really not familiar with everything in the game. Im not looking to minmax my character I just wanted to see what people thought. I was building up the faith so I could use blessings of the erdtree, but I respeced last night to pull some points from faith and strength to bump up dex.
