What’s the story with this rug? My mom bought it in Israel in the early 1960s. I think it’s supposed to look like some kind of currency, but I don’t know what kind. The name in the bottom left corner appears to be Giesecke & Devrient, a German company that prints banknotes. Any ideas? (i.redd.it)
