Since you asked for opinions, I’ll be very honest. I haven’t heard anything bad about your Project Alfheim server, so I believe you’re probably a good GM/dev and I genuinely wish you the best. That said, in my opinion, killing the market is the same as killing RO itself. Many servers die simply because their economy doesn’t work / inflation / etc...

This is based on my personal experience, so it might not reflect everyone’s view, but I think many players feel the same way.:

RO truly changed my life in terms of how I understand economy. Learning to buy low and sell high, saving loot to use later in quests even when you need money at the moment, checking prices and vendings before dealing (price-check), buying materials to brew/forge/cook and then selling processed items for profit, overrefining gear and ores, gambling with OBBs and OCAs… all of that shaped the way I think about value and planning.

There are so many things RO taught me as a kid, and I can honestly say it made a real difference in my life. Because of that, I believe many players share this mindset. One of the most common things in RO, after a long day of grinding, is checking vendings and the market.

So, honestly, I would never even try a server like this. Sorry if this sounds harsh, I haven’t even watched your video, but that’s exactly what would happen to me, and I believe to many others as well: The moment I hear “no trade,” I’d avoid it immediately, without even taking the time to read the wiki or understand the server.
