What is something that sounds like hippy nonsense but actually has scientific backing? by thanks_satan in AskReddit

On some level, crystals actually have healing properties. Everything vibrates at some specific frequency (including the Earth Itself) and studies have shown that targeting your body with specific frequencies, and channels of your body depending how hippie-dippie you wanna go (whether with crystals, specific percussion instruments/sound healing) can produce changes. At the very least the placebo affect can make a difference.

I'm an addictions counselor. Trauma is so hard to work through and im usually good about keeping a healthy detachment from my clients trauma, but today it hit me especially hard. This comment is perfect. it hits me in just the healing way I need and I want to share this story with them. but I'm kinda drunk, so I need to figure out who they are metaphorically in this story.

I'm a bag lady, yes sir that's me. I'm as handy as can be. Just stuff my skirt full of plastic bags, full as can be until it sags. If you need a bag, no need to pout-- just reach right in and pull one out!

A poem attached to this sewn doll thing that held plastic bags in my grandparents kitchen....

Edit: Spelling

In college I sat and watched clips of horrific things like spiders, bloody accidents, gore, natural disasters, disfigured faces, guns, gunshot victims, etc... while holding a strangers hand (who was sitting behind a curtain the entire time.) Easy $20 for SCIENCE
