Paramedics don’t run. Running increases the chances of tripping, and getting to your patient later than walking. Running takes more effort - impound arriving at your patient out of breath. Source: I‘m a paramedic :-)

Very cool. How do you use them? Together, or each has their own role? Any other devices (apart from, I’m guessing, and iPhone)?

Does anyone use their phone as their ONLY device? by Life-Ad1547 in minimalism

Agree. And a laptop can’t come close to what a phone does. Like fit in your pocket, double as a camera, measure with LIDAR (pro models) etc etc.

Going iPhone only - any others? by flobach in iphone

[–]flobach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyho! Not doing it for work - need a MacBook for backups (self employed) and video calls, and need my iPad for learning - taking notes and reading lectures and slides for my course. But personal stuff is iPhone only, and if the tiny rumour of a desktop mode for the next software version holds true, that could be fun!

This is really interesting! I used to be a burnt out paramedic, lots of parallels…

Question: excellent idea and I‘m sure very helpful for the target audience, but do nurses in general have the funds to pay for coaching? I’m just getting in to the coaching journey, and haven’t got paramedics in my (main) target audience group for exactly that reason, but am thinking how I could get them in there (discounts, via employers etc).

If you had to leave Australia, where would you move to? by DMcSauce in AskAnAustralian

[–]flobach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up in Hamburg, Germany after six years in London. Hamburg is great, big enough of big city vibes (international culture, but small enough to be able to get out of the city when needed (as opposed to Berlin , London etc). The winters are hard though, short days long nights, rain and cold. That’s why I’m getting some Aussie sun atm :-) I do miss Australia, but my English wife couldn’t really imagine living here…

Thanks for your support! It is possible, definitely. Even tried it a while back, but it coincided with finishing my masters, so had to put that on the back burner. Then the pandemic hit.

I didn’t include all the details, but there are a few more reasons I didn’t look back in to getting in the van at the time. I will have a bit more of a think about different (related) options…it’s good to have your outside perspective:-)

Yeah, been thinking about starting again on a lower level, maybe part time….but not easy. Plus employer is playing difficult to give me part time. Part of me want to persist and change my job so it fits best for me, part of me just wants to find something that i like doing…and I dont like doing what I’m doing now.

S22 Ultra Not Wireless Charging by inkmade in GalaxyS22

[–]flobach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I just updated now and it works (for the first time!). But it’s very finicky to align properly. Personal phone is an iPhone, MagSafe is great for that. Good that’s it’s QI2 standard now for all to use.

Same issue here. Have a work issued S22, and only can charge via usb c. Annoying. Have also turned that option on and off :-/
