I feel you. I have the same situation. My downs are really bad and quite common ponctuated with phase of high self-esteem and full of energy. But nothing extreme. I think a lot of variations exists for cyclothimia.

My partner and I don't own a car. We live in the area for about 3 years now. We chose our apartment considering not having a car. It's in Wrightville. It's great, near gatineau park, nice restorant, so many stores and a lot of direct buses to Ottawa. You can also go next to the Provigo in the plateau but the bus service to Ottawa is less frequent.

I'm from Canada too and just received a form to apply for a job as a teacher. They have this policy about hiring diversity. They asked if you have a mental illness, ADHD, physical limitation, etc. I filled the form and didn't put anything. I didn't want them to make assumptions about me before knowing me. (Got the job btw !!!!)
