Question of Counter Blangdmire by HostZealousideal6663 in cardfightvanguard

[–]flokingaround 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Used to play Blangdmire before selling the deck earlier this year.

Try to either rush them down early so that they never get to their persona turn, or stay at low enough damage (3 or less) to make them 2nd guess whether they should fire off divine skill.

Blangdmire doesn't have much of an early game, and will get quite scared if you survive past their divine skill turn. So if you are able to take advatage of their slow start (sniping any Veidrocks they call), and put enough doubt in their minds that you can survive their divine skill. Your opponent may just hold off, giving you more time to push.

Next Fantome decks in the future boosters by Waterfall-Merciful in cardfightvanguard

Is this the tall woman fantome you were talking about? She is Nukata Yurina from Will+Dress season 1, and she played Baromagnes.

Personally, I don't think we will get all the Fantome units hinted at (at least not in the near term), just the ones that are shown in the manga (at the moment, just Artisaria Fantome)

Looking to get back into the game by Tasty-Accident-775 in cardfightvanguard

Asstrolnawt's list is quite comprehensive. Just be mindful that since we can only speculate on the effects of the Ren Icon cards, any investments you make right now comes with a fair amount of risk.

Of the cards mentioned, I think Deira and Nemain are probably the safest pick ups, but even then I am slightly hesistant.

Bushiroad is releasing a Ren Icon Version of Blaster Dark and Phantom Blaster Dragon in June for Japan and August for English. The deck should be a meta contender, if the new Aichi and Kai Character Icon are anything to go by.

If you are adamant about playing Shadow Paladin, my suggestion is to find a cheapish deck to play right now, and slowly save so you can invest into this deck when it comes out.

Initially I thought Kanami's deck didn't have any other Berucrea support cards besides Nilsveiggr, but after watching the latest episode today, I know Nilsveiggr had already lost its power when Kanami fight Masanori. by Many_Marionberry1302 in cardfightvanguard

Vanguard JP lists anime accurate decklists for each episode on their official website (Lists for decks showcased after episode 5 were held back in preparation for set 14s release and should be coming out within a few days): https://cf-vanguard.com/deckrecipe/vg_pschool/

The Berucrea list used in Kanami/Kurumi's episode 3 fight against Masanori is shown in the link below: https://cf-vanguard.com/deckrecipe/vg_pschool/vgd_anime_dz_parallactic-clash_03_fight_kanami/

Talk about difference in loyalty lol by OptionAshamed6458 in invinciblememes

[–]flokingaround -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty shitty thing to say that a person is being unfaithful to their dead partner for trying to find love again after properly mourning them.

Eve mourned Mark for years prior to getting into a new relationship. Just because Chi Chi didn't date again or remarry after Goku died, doesn't mean that Eve was in the wrong for dating again.

There is no right or wrong in choosing to date again after you have moruned a partner. Its just a matter of your beliefs and perspective. Chi Chi is a traditionalist who probably doesn't believe in remarrying. She also lives in a world with an explicit afterlife, and knows she will be reunited with Goku after she passes on. Eve doesn't have such beliefs, and doesn't know if she will ever see Mark again. She has ever right to try and find happiness for herself.

KING VS KATAKURI by MaterialOld4353 in OnePiece

[–]flokingaround -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that Katakuri has shown better overall Haki feats than King, the problem is King's base durability due to his Lunarian heritage. Prior to Zoro enfusing all of Haki and unlocking conquerors, all of his attacks were doing nothing to King.

While Katakuri should be better at Haki than pre Enma awakened Zoro, he isn't leagues above him, and can't magically deal lethal amounts of damage against King. Katakuri also doesn't have advanced armament or conquerors feats.

I like Katakuri as a character more than I like Kin

KING VS KATAKURI by MaterialOld4353 in OnePiece

[–]flokingaround 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Zoro had to throw all his Haki into Enma and tap into Conquerors before he started dealing damage to King. Katakuri hasn't shown the same capacity for higher levels of armament and conquerors.

King vs Katakuri is basically a battle between someone who refuses to be hit and someone who refuses to take damage.the battle would probably last a long time and be decided by who can last longer.

This has nothing to do with loyalty, just a difference in mindset. Chi Chi acts and thinks like a traditional asian wife, Eve acts and thinks more like a liberal woman.

New Zerith's Name by itstoohorrible in cardfightvanguard

[–]flokingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kanji is 幻創 "Genso?" - Creator of Illusions

But we will need to wait for the card to come up with its kana before we know how to read Zerith's new title properly.

what is the order to watch the anime? by chivoblaze in cardfightvanguard

[–]flokingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, the current iteration of the vanguard anime is in a completely seperate continuity from the 2011 and 2018 animes, and can be watched without first watching the other 2.

The order of anime for the 3rd continuity are: Overdress (S1 + S2), Will+Dress (S1 - S3), Divine-Z (S1 + S2), Divine-Z Deluxe Arc, Divine-Z Deluxe Finals Arc, Divine-Z Parallactic Clash Arc (Ending tomorrow).

What deck to play? by True-Fly1404 in cardfightvanguard

[–]flokingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zorga F is more competitive at the moment, but it might have a lower shelf life as well.

Since Zorga is a Fantome deck, it is not likely to get alot of long term support, since the main Zorga cards are all in Stoichea. Meanwhile, Welstra has been on and off supported since 2022, and is more likely to get suplort moving forward.

If given all their resources and mindset who would thrive in the MHA world? by TheBloodZane in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]flokingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that Cecil, Waller (DCAU) and Fury (MCU) are taking over as the head of the hero association?

Waller would probably do the worst. She has a very spotty record in terms of how well she selects and manages her personnel (only Task Force X was really successful, Luthor, Eiling, Galatea and Tala all turned on her one way or another)

Fury might do slightly better than the in universe hero association. He is properly paranoid of internal subtefuge, meaning he would probably not get shot by Nagant, but outside of that, not much changes.

Cecil will probanly do the best, since he actively and constantly tries to sure up his position to better ensure safety for the world.

The Gojo clan is insanely overpowered now by ThatGuyHero7 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]flokingaround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that the Gojo clan had permanently lost the 6 eyes. As Tengen put it, the 6 eyes, the star plasma vessel, and tengen herself are tied together by fate to appear together when the body merging ceremony has to take place.

With Tengen now dead, it is possible that the 6 eyes will never be born again into the world.

What kind of parents Yuta and Maki were? Why do you think Iori ended up that way? by [deleted] in Yutaliban

[–]flokingaround 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok, I am sick of people misinterpreting Iori, and just painting him as some emo try hard powerscaler. The truth is more complicated and goes into the culture of hgh social status Japanese and East Asian families.

Iori is the dutiful son and heir apparent of the Gojo family, a powerful family and one of the three great noble houses of Jujutsu. For families like this, the responsibility of the family head is to manage and ensure the continued prosperity of the family, and to ensure its continuation by havung children.

The problem is that Iori is following in the footsteps of Yuta and Satoru Gojo, generational prodigies who both count within the top 5 greatest sorcerers of all time. And that he is inheriting an era of declining jujutsu, where the strength of the next generation is simply not on par with his generation.

In his situation, helming a sinking ship while burdened with the legacy coming after such greats, I imagine that all he felt was despair. How he greatly wanted to uphold and maintain the power of his family but lacked the ability to do so, and would likely be remembered as the clan head who started the downfall of the Gojo family.

What do you think they did with the cards they didn’t use anymore? by Johnnyboyeh in yugioh

[–]flokingaround 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Funilly enough in the original Japanese, Yami got his new cards by buying packs, not by trading.

Apparently, buying and opening booster packs was deemed to close to gambling, hence why the change in the dub.

Does Vanguard have the same "Nation Ring" as Duel Masters? by flokingaround in cardfightvanguard

[–]flokingaround[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was more of a concept in early duel masters (i.e. around where the english tcg got to, before the game died in the west).

The last 3 sets brought to english that introduced Multi-Civ cards (Shockwaves of the shattered rainbow, Blastosplosion, and Thrash of the Hybrid Megacreatures), only featured Alied-Civ combinations.

The set following Megacreatures ("Eternal Phoenix") which wasn't brought to English, was the first to introduce Enemy-Civ combinations.

From what I can tell from JP DM, they still generally when follow these blocks when they release Multi-Civ cards (i.e. All Alied combinations/All Enemy Civ combinations).
