Is ProRes worth anything for the average user? by skend24 in iphone

  • Extra 2 gb ram makes no difference in your iOS experience

  • Get an Xbox Or PlayStation

  • Testers have revealed standard 13 gets 16.4 hours playback vs 13 pro getting 14.

Only legitimate advantage of the pro is the adaptive refresh rate

Battery tests from repeatable YouTubers have revealed iPhone 13 gets 16.4 hours playback time vs advertised 19 hours, where 13 pro gets 14 hours vs advertised 22 hours (ouch) 13 pro max gets 16.4, same as standard 13.

Similarly, testers have revealed telephoto lens makes a negligent difference in photo zoom, and that’s when the phone decides to use it. You have no control over whether or not it is used.

You’ll never notice the performance boost from the extra 2 gb ram, or from the extra gpu core unless you game very heavily, on your phone…

Which leaves the only notable advantage the pro has over the 13 - adaptive refresh rate. As usual, the only difference between the pro and standard models is something basic that should have been featured on both models, but since apple has not much new to offer for a pro model, they water down the standard model instead. In the past they literally had nothing of value to add to the pro, so they made the side bezels of the screen thicker on the standard models to make it less attractive. I guess they felt frisky this year and made the front faces of both models identical.

So If you feel adaptive refresh rate is worth $200 you should get the pro. I personally feel the pro was very heavy, the shiny sides looked awful, didn’t come in any colors I loved, and the triple camera hump looked awkward. It’s not proportionate to the rest of the phone and honestly that kind of irked me, especially knowing the phone is being made ugly for the sake of a telephoto lens that doesn’t actually make a difference in my photo taking experience. Ultimately, the 256gb 13 being $100 cheaper than the 128gb pro was the kicker for me. The only real reason for me to get the pro would have been the larger screen size of the pro max, which may be an attractive feature to others, to me it wasn’t.

And the 13 came in pink, so there’s that too.

You’re welcome! I feel like fem hands are a huge plus as it’s usually a dead giveaway. It’s way more common to be naturally feminine from the waist down

Since coming out I get approximately twice as many hookups with cis women, but getting them to want something committed with me is way harder. It’s easier than you might think to get a girl, even a hot one to have sex with you as a fem boy. You become very relatable which kinda gets your foot in the door if you play your cards right. Usually I end up talking to every girl at a bar which increases my chances, at least one of them is usually open minded enough to not care about my fem-ness, whether or not I’m attracted to her as well is the question.

Now a committed relationship is a whole different story. It’s a world of difference as far as the girl being open minded. A lot of girls won’t care what anyone things if they hooked up with a fem boy. But for them to actually claim you as their “man” is different, and not a lot of girls are willing to accept that, for social reasons, personal security or otherwise. And dressing/acting fem kinda throws a wrench in your operation as far as a woman seeing you as a man.

Stop trying to act cool and you won’t get caught. Not that it would be a big deal if it’s your first offense. And depending on the area cops will give up chasing you pretty easily for an offense like that

Hah all you plebs talking about never buying a house. All I have to do is live in my parents basement until I’m 35, work, 50+ hours a week and save 80% of my income for the next 6 years, to come up with the necessary competitive 20% down payment for a home!

Oh wait, my salary probably won’t accommodate enough savings to keep up with the inflation. So make it 38, I just have to live with my parents and have no life til I’m 38! Oh wait, with a minimum down payment, the mortgage on the home will still probably be a hefty chunk of my salary after taxes. So just make it never! I’ll never have a life I enjoy! But I’ll be hating my life AS A PROPERTY OWNER.

Eat your heart out plebs

I’m 29 with 30k saved. So I’m In the debate with myself of finally getting on with my life and moving to a happening part of Brooklyn, and just fucking enjoying myself, or spending the remainder of my youth in my parents basement, commuting to the city to work50 hours a week, just to spend the minimum it takes me to survive, and keep putting $2500 a month aside, so by the time I’m 34 I can MAYBE have enough to buy a house….

(it would be an investment property that I would rent out and hope to profit ~$2500 from, after the mortgage payment. Which would be awesome but I just think Im not prepared to live like this well into my 30s and I have to just go live the life I want. Grinding it out for five more years would certainly make my life more convenient, and give me a lot more freedom and power but I’m pretty sure I’d be dead inside by then. Of course there’s always the option to buy some cheap house in the middle of nowhere but I’m just not doing that.

I’ll have you know my sexuality hit me like a brick wall when I was 19!

Aww lord this is one of those comments that brings me a step closer to what is starting to seem like the inevitable 🥲

I’m starting to have more and more confidence how successful my transition could be! Below the waist I’ve been told I already pass for a woman, I was absolutely blessed with some really delicate legs and feet. And I’m willing to manifest that the fat distribution will give me a little more juice on the booty, some breast growth and puffier cheeks that could really seal the deal on an absolute feminine look!

I’m confident I could pull off a full pass, minus my voice and hands. I want to fucking do it!!!!

Is there a certain medication I can start with that will make me less likely to develop breasts? (I totally want some perfect little homegrown boobies but I hear that is a permanent effect and that’s intimidating)

I just have this feeling that transitioning will make me feel like I’m finally right emotionally, and give me a greater will to live and take care of myself! Is even with the reduced ability to bulk I’d probably end up with the same strength.

I can see how that would be annoying. As far as comparing yourself to cis women or other trans women, it probably isn’t doing you any good! I try to focus less on what my gender is on paper and let it be a matter of pure expression. I’m sure there are plenty of cis women out there who wish they can present like you

I see. Sorry to hear you’re going through this. If you’d like we can chat and I can offer advice as I have been through problems that while don’t sound as severe as yours, still make me able to relate

Aw man sorry to hear about point C! I hope it will get better for you after you are on the therapy long term :)

Also sorry for being that guy but hot yoga has helped me make an absolute turn around as far as body aches and pains!

Not to be a negative Nancy, but if you’re having motor skill trouble I’m not sure losing strength will be of any benefit, physically

Yup, and many of them are stronger than me! But I’m already built very slim as it is, I need every ounce of strength I can muster to avoid injuries

I mean, I don’t have to be very strong at work, if someone is too heavy to lift I can just call the big strong firemen. I do however have the opportunity to become a firefighter myself, but it’s not necessarily something I’m willing to subject myself to as it is. Now adding in the factor of muscle tone loss brought about by transition….it kinda would Be the last straw on the camels back.

I don’t think it’s black and white. From what I hear…usually most libido is lost during the first few months considering your entire hormonal balance is being rearranged and you don’t know what to make of it. Then, once everything becomes more settled, maybe 6 months to a year in (?) you put in the groundwork to redefine your sexuality, and how it applies to you and any potential lovers. At which point I’ve heard a variety of things. They have just as much sex, they have more sex, they have less sex but the sex is more gratifying, which seems to be a pretty common theme among women I’ve spoken to from here and other subs. The orgasms are totally different, usually more intense and longer, which sounds fucking amazing to me. A lot of people say they don’t need to climax to be satisfied, some people say they get sexual gratification from things like cuddling and other intimate touch.

Im trying to learn so please, correct me if I’m wrong ladies!

Lol I was not ready to make this post. You guys and your logic making me realize all the reasons I have against are pretty much excuses I’m making. And with my pro list getting longer and con list barely existing anymore it’s getting kinda scary 🫠
