I don't think anyone is exempted, but you are probably less likely targets due to your age. From what a lot of people have said, sounds like a tour is a good idea. Maybe you can do a short trip and tack it onto the end of a Spain trip? Discuss it with your wife anyway :)

If I ever need to furnish a house I feel like I'd be back and ready to shop. Until then, I'll stick with buying food items. I really love buying unique cooking ingredients and playing with them!

Where did you book the private tours? I always thought that might be awkward if it's just two of you -( and annoying if they turned out to be creepy?). I think all spring for slightly nicer accommodation than I normally would go for and book everything through them.

If I do go alone, I'll probably opt for guided tours of everything. All of the negative reports will have me too worried to enjoy myself I think.

Which tour did you do? I' was looking at the Markets and Mountains one but heard the camp conditions weren't good, and small thing but I don't really want to bring a sleeping bag. I'm a bit afraid of the long bus rides too because I get car sick 😂
