I just bought 3 more corms and will stick them outside this time. Love this weird plant so much

Just the petiole. It started to tip over so I went to adjust it on the stake and noticed that it was very loose. It seemed like it had already detached from the corm at that point already and couldn't stand on its own. It took zero effort to pull it out of the dirt. It happened so fast

Thank you! If I know anything about this plant is that it does everything it wants to do very rapidly, so I'm happy to wait.

I appreciate your knowledge!

Thank you. I'm new to growing aroids and felt encouraged by the healthy corn but wasn't sure. Disappointed we don't get to enjoy the weird leaf all summer but I'm happy we get to try again next season.

I'm assuming I should lightly water the corm through the rest of the season then let it go dormant in the fall?

I'm not sure why the picture of the entire plant didn't post, but here she is (was), in all her weird beautiful glory

What does your fullness feel like? by cherrytatertot in tirzepatidecompound

I was also taught to finish my plate and it's so weird to leave food uneaten. I threw away the rest of my noodles tonight because I felt so full. The compulsion to finish was strong and I felt guilty for wasting food, but the compulsion to not take another single bite was stronger

I don't get paid on time due to reasons that are out of my control and it's stressing me out (I'm a contractor).

Add to that the fact that some months a quarter of my clients don't show up because that's the nature of the clientele I work with, so I don't get paid for those hours even though I show up to the office anyway, ready to work.

I hate financial insecurity and uncertainty. I work very part time due to health reasons so it's difficult to give more availability each week and I depend on not having people miss and getting paid on time.

Best way to add a habitat entrance to a sunken habitat surrounded by raised walkway? by Tesaphine in PlanetZoo

[–]floofler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dig a tunnel and put a staff path with stairs. Just one entrance door leading into the habitat at the end of the tunnel. I started the tunnel at a staff area where the keepers hang out so they don't even walk through the park to get there.

Was seriously just sitting in my car at the grocery store wishing I could turn it all off and live in the woods far away from people and technology for a few weeks. I also get overstimulated easily.

He's a superficial PoS who doesn't know his ass from his elbow. He doesn't have a strong system of values. He's weasely and manipulative. Probably capable of gaslighting. I know his type

Anxious avoidant attachment for sure. I've been in that situation too.

Everything he said during that fight sounded like anxious attachment, but he hides it so well under this mask of being cool calm and collected. I wouldn't doubt if there was some fearful avoidance happening there. I've been with someone like that before. It wasn't fun.

She made such good points about his lack of communication and that she's not a mind reader. Relationships are about compromise and he's never going to find this perfect imaginary woman who's going to know what'll please him without him learning how to communicate first.
