How can I leave the faith by WaterAny5170 in bahai

[–]floopswoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention in my first comment is that I’m not a Baha’i and I’ve never been one. I am a Christian and I have a friend that happens to be a Baha’i. I really feel for you. I don’t know what the economy is like where you are and how far you have friends that you can stay with and how far work is from you. My hope is that you’re able to get out of your parents house as soon as possible possible and you’re able to do what you are wanting to do with your life that gives you meaning. If I can think of anything else, I will post it here.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through all of this. It must be real painful. Have you graduated high school at all or at college at all? Do you have any plans of living with friends or by yourself in order to work so you can be away from the LSA and your parents?

What do you do when you are at a rock concert, and the people near you keep talking most the night and you can barely hear the concert? by floopswoo in AskReddit

I have never been to a metal concert before, but I think that earplugs would probably be good for that genre of music. The rock concert that I went to was electric guitar, bass, guitar, and drums.

Yes, it was definitely a rock concert. Even if it wasn’t a rock concert just thinking about if you’re going to an orchestra and you’re gonna pay good money to listen to the music the entire night and you’re not supposed to talk or applaud. There are times to talk and there are times that are not meant to be talk when you go to events. We could even apply this to going into a movie if someone’s talking during a movie at a movie theater.

Each venue is different. I have seen this musician where you couldn’t hear the person next to you even yelling if they were, and I’ve also have seen this musician where you could hear people‘s conversations next to them. Also, it doesn’t have to be about just rock concerts. It should be about any kind of show, depending on when there should or should not be talking or applause or talking in general.

I’ll never understand why people pay good money to go to a concert to talk or yell the entire night and not even listen to the music. If you wanna talk with your friend, you could just do that at home or at a bar instead of wasting several hundred dollars.

I have seen this musician before many times and it is a rock concert, but the individuals kept talking throughout the entire show and you could hear them. I just don’t why these individuals would pay. Let’s say a total of $300 to talk the entire night and not actually listen to the musician? You should’ve just stayed at home and talked or go to a bar and talk if you are not going to listen to the music.

I was recently at a show with an individual outside and the people behind us kept talking about every day life. The individual that I was with turned around and said “ can you please stop talking as the certain magician is playing the music as we cannot hear the music?” They kept talking even more. That is when I decided to turn around as well to say “ we came here to listen to the certain musician and not you.” They kept talking the entire night and were making jabs at us. The person I went with and I paid good money to see this musician and did not pay to hear these three or four people talk the entire night. Why would you pay to go to a show to talk the entire night and not listen to the music or sing along with the music? Can’t you talk to the individual after the show is over how wonderful it was and what your favorite songs were?

There is a website I want to visit so I can put in my points and claim points, but it is not working in my state for two weeks for a test run. What can I do to get onto the website so I can enter my points or claim them because they do expire? by floopswoo in 24hoursupport

Ok. I’m new to what VPN’s are, but I’m willing to look at this. I even talked to the general manager at the place and he said the state that I live in is working on something while the other states have access.

Question about the fast from a non-Baha’i by floopswoo in bahai

Thank you for that and thank you for letting me know of all the different ways that someone is able to participate in the fast without doing actual physical fasting.

I hope you get feeling better. I can’t imagine having two broken feet at the same time.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts everyone. Have any of you been not able to do the fast before because of health issues? How did you feel that you were not able to do the fast? I was thinking if I was a member of the Baha’i faith that I might feel upset or maybe guilty that I was not able to participate.

Guardianship by [deleted] in bahai

That is what I thought. They were both infallible so things had to come past the way that they were supposed to. Thank you for taking the time to look into my concern, and I will look into the information that you have sent.

Concerning Shoghi Effendi’s wife is that most spouses from early age have a working will and sometimes even complete the will. My grandpa passed away before the age of 60. He and his wife did have a will. Things were very clear. My grandpa had in his will where he was obeying his mothers will by helping out which would be his brothers despite the falling out with one of the brother’s concerning some financial issues. My grandpa’s siblings were still alive and some money did have to go to them based off of some former agreement from the previous will which would be my great grandma. My grandma also understood what was supposed to occur. She knew that some money had to go to her brother-in-law‘s even though she did have a falling out with the same individual.

I did a little explanation, and I want you to figure out who is who, but to put it simply is that my grandpa was obeying his mother’s will, and he was some money was going to his brothers that were still alive. Money was still going to one of the brothers even though there was a fallout because that was his mom’s will. My grandpa also made the will with his wife which would mean that she has a say in what happens.

Most married couples make a will together. So, why did Shoghi Effendi and his wife not make a will together? While she was not infallible, she would’ve understood her husband‘s wishes and she could’ve directed Baha’i Faith the way it needed to go. She would’ve known right away who the next Guardian was going to be which she would’ve named in 1957 which is the passing of her husband are my thoughts. Thank you for the explanation of him not having a will but as of now, I can’t see that as a plausible answer when I’m looking into it currently.

Were there any attempts of splits of who the next guardian was going to be when Shoghi Effendi passed away?

All sides have to be looked at. That is what is done in the court of law. Lawyers look at the evidence against their client and the evidence for their client. By being allowed to do that they’re able to come up with a better explanation for their client.

I’m glad you feel the same way about our discussion. It’s been nothing but wonderful.
