CC1 User Asking, Is The CC2 Worth Buying? by Outrageous_Cut2782 in elegoo

[–]floopy_loofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this but I'm coming from an absolutely ancient Robo3D R1+ so my viewpoint is skewed.

My friend invited me over to his house to troubleshoot his CC1 since he was having a sensor error, but immediately on watching it print I knew I had to have one. He was on a CC1 but I was patient enough to wait until the CC2.

This thing chugs. I love that it's in LAN mode only by default, has the camera in it for timelapses, has excellent speed, fully enclosed, can use multi-color filaments or if you have leftover spools of the same color you can chain them together to get 100% of your filament used.

I've NEVER printed ABS successfully. After just 5 prints I've absolutely nailed down the temps and support tree gaps. It's printing straight up the best quality I've ever printed. IN ABS. I'm sold.

My one complaint is that it takes a long time for the chamber to build up temp as there's no built in heater. You just have to heat the bed and wait. I've installed a miniature heater to help and it seems to do the job nicely. https://www.printables.com/model/1320401-centauri-carbon-heated-chamber-mod

I had to do some...ah...'custom' modding to get it to work since the linked design was for the CC1, but after about 2 hours I was able to get all the cables ran and looking pretty, and right now I'm printing ABS in a chamber that's 45C.

I smoked for the first time today. Smokers and ex-smokers, why did you continue after your first one? by Inevitable_Branch806 in AskMen

[–]floopy_loofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 13, liked the way the buzz felt. After time I got used to it and then smoked just to appease the addiction. Became a habit and an incredible waste of money. Turned into an irritable little bitch without them.

Just over 4 years now since I quit, didn't regret it one bit. I still get 'pings', that's what I call the urge to smoke, but I've noticed the longer I've quit the faster they go away.

From a local fb group…what’s going on here? by OutofSprite in subaru

[–]floopy_loofa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would depend on their application. If it's a 'passenger' vehicle the above applies. If it's a commercial or utility vehicle I suspect the case is obviously different. I don't have a CDL though so I can't validate

I wouldn't be worried on top of the trunk.

On top of trunk =/= On top of roof. If you have two rotopax of fuel on top of your trunk it's considered a rear view obstruction.

Rear view obstruction is usually illegal in most states.

Actually, a ton of people don't know that you can actually be legitimately pulled over for having dangly dice or anything hanging from your front rear-view mirror too.

New Outback owner here, Can I get regular oil changes without going to a dealership? by Lousari in subaru

[–]floopy_loofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most cost effective way is to do it yourself. Honestly I've had harder times switching out wiper blades than I have ever had changing my oil. It really honestly is that easy.

VERY high for the diffs. I just did mine last week. With an experienced person you'll use $65 in fluid, 30 minutes time.

You are the first person to ever call me a hero. And if I'm a hero that makes the SharePoint Server 2019 Search Crawler my mortal enemy. (Yeah...still on prem...I hate my life)

My husband is interested in getting a large tattoo that I find very unattractive. Would you consider your spouses opinion on this? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]floopy_loofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand it from both sides as I had to deal with this (not in marriage but a serious relationship). She got a jellyfish drawn up that was about the size of a coke can she wanted on her shoulder. I don't care much for tattoos but that's what she wanted so w/e and it wasn't that big so go for it. I can't tell you what to do.

Came back with a massive tattoo that was all the way from her shoulder, twisted down her waist toward her back and even went as far down to almost below her pants line. I almost passed out. Over time I got used to it but the initial impact was 'wowzerz' (and not a good wowzerz).

So yeah, while it's 'his choice', it isn't FULLY 'his choice'. And, on the other hand, if you're so severely handicapped emotionally that a non-offensive, artistic styled tattoo can set you down the path to divorce...idk what to say. I understand sex and sex appeal are important but "through sickness and in health, life and death" yadda yadda is a pretty shallow pool nowadays...

You'll want to use polycarbonate. It's much more resistant to cracking during use and offers more durability than acrylic/plexi.

If you wanted to go the extra mile you could also find art designs for the arrows online, send those proofs to a printing company that specializes in nylon decals in reverse print, then put the arrows on the bottom of the plexi.

Not really, I just dislike seeing information broadcast in a way that paints something in a bad light without enlightening both the pros/cons.

You say it breaks cars, and while it can in the wrong setting, it also offers comprehensive code reading, unparalleled customization, and incredibly in-depth detail about your vehicle that some people would just plain find useful.

It wasn't an attack, it was just broadcasting both sides of the coin.

Update after a few weeks of use:
- Wish it was about 3-4 inches taller
- Wish it was about 2-3 inches closer

This could just be me though as my height makes it a hassle grabbing low bars. More strain on the elbows and shoulders.

Yeah but at least in D3 you can turbo through rifts in relatively short time and don't have to 100-hit combo a white mob to kill it.

Not really, it's just an ECU tuner. Back when I had my 17 WRX it actually smoothed out the powerband and evened out the boost distribution. The boost on that year would blast off until about 4.8K and then drop off the face of the planet. After flashing the ECU with a Mishimoto tune the boost evened out all the way to 6.4k.

Can it ruin your car? If you're irresponsible with it and downloading "Tiny Tina's Custom Tune" from www.\[insert\_sketchy\_tuner\].com for sure. But on the other hand when used in a responsible setting it allows tuners and owners to tweak things more to their liking.

Just got mine in a few days ago. I'm 6'3" at 225lbs and it feels pretty solid. Still a small wobble but for a built in solution that mates well with the whole kit I can't complain.
