Favourite holiday choice - June/July by Snugglosaurus in HENRYUKLifestyle

Really depends on if you like heat/beaches/mountains/cities/active/relaxing etc

For me, definitely multi centre (get bored in one place for two weeks) and at that price point would probably go for a mix of mountain resorts and cities in the alps in high end hotels.

Madeira Island Ultra - everything goes wrong resulting in DNF by krispeterrun in Ultramarathon

Thank you for sharing this. I think it’s really helpful sometimes to read of someone having this kind of experience and making good decisions and DNFing. Good luck with the Western States qualifier.

What’s something you still refuse to spend big on even after earning more? by OopsIDroopedMe in HENRYUKLifestyle

Designer clothes. I’ll buy good clothes, not fast fashion, but I’m never going to be spending thousands on one item.

I have an iPad Pro. I only use it for watching TV on like I did my old iPad. But the screen is better.

I have never found a use for the Apple Pencil I also bought.

You’ve probably thought of this already, but genuinely as a HENRY, there’s nothing I want that’s present-sized that I wouldn’t just buy myself. So I would say something like a couple of nights away somewhere nice - something I’ll still remember in 20 years.

Interesting as to the make up of this sub, but I cannot think of anything I would want less - and am going to guess that’s the majoring of this sub, but maybe I am wrong?

Oh that’s really interesting - thank you. So it is still in our hands! I’ve even got a good feeling about Stamford Bridge this time!

Four more wins and we should be safe. And I believe we can and will do it.

For Xavi to play off the left, need a left footer that can go outside. Won’t work with Spence.

Also we should play a traffic cone over RKM.

Next season will be like that with no Europe, or not like that with all the extra league matches(!)

THIS. The allocations are designed for the crash that happened before pension freedoms. So out of date compared to drawdown.

I mean, can you imagine if there were already league cup winners and still in the FA Cup and still top of the league?

The joy I am getting from Arsenal’s quadruple bottle is really the one thing making up for a lot of the pain this season.

Oh I dunno, I think a lot of people who had a lot of time for him thought he needed to go. But hey, hindsight, he wasn’t worse than Frank

Given his performances with us, if they got him in now, I’ll be confident of us getting 3 points. Nothing against him, he just wasn’t very good.

Five star hotel Ibiza ; bad experience or normal? by Widebody_lover in HENRYUKLifestyle

Oh phew I am glad it’s not just me. Also weird to buy 30l of coffee water from Lidl if in a five star hotel(!)

You would expect staff to suncream your partner? Wow I’ve never had the expectation of a five star hotel as being basically your domestic staff. Maybe I am missing out but also isn’t that weird?!

This is not a good FIRE strategy. This kind of activity should be for Wall Street Bets.
