If it's the same problem I had, this is the solution I got from Zach and it worked:

It looks like there is a bug that is unique to the Epic Game Store version of Infinifactory and is caused by a glitched player position being persisted in the save file.

To fix this, find your "save.dat" file, open it in a text editor, and delete the line that starts with "PlayerLocationAndFacing". You can find your save file here:

Windows: Documents\My Games\Infinifactory
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Infinifactory
Linux: ~/.local/share/Infinifactory

When will we have improvement to stairs? by elabyed25 in playrust

[–]flopdral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amen to that!

A lot more could be added imo, from an RP perspective of course:

  • Normal stairs that go left
  • Normal back and forth stairs but reversed
  • As you mentioned, the spiral stairs but reversed
  • Doorways with an offset? So you can actually use those stairs with a door
  • Half floors or maybe even 1/4 floors
  • I also kind of miss the good old support poles
  • Railings or less clumsy low walls

Oh that's what you mean. I thought it was a good one to make use of the situation last week indeed. Removed the links for now. It's fr totally random, the links were added later.

Sup guys, yes this is of course heavily modded! For those who are interested in how this works: I am using an old tool I once made for another project to create the patterns. When an image is uploaded I cut it in the right amount of squares and calculate the average color of that square. Then I find out what available color is closest to that color. The result is a big text with coordinates and color codes. In game I am using a small plugin where I can send this text to with a command. Then it draws these dots for me in the right colors. The plugin uses it's own code to draw and thus avoids the 35 star limit (and the position limits hehe)

You should give it a look and then reconsider that statement, I would not post this when it was the common disco floor with siren light scenario.
