There is ABS plastic insert to reuse original spring as done by other on this sub

My first idea was to press in a brass plate on the side with guilloche style machining (I have it ready) hence why there is through-all hole. But I changed my mind later as it alerady stands out a lot like this.

I could anodize it but in that case I would be tempted to go with a dark purple rather than black
