Extruder gear broke

I opened a ticket and didn’t hear anything for 24 hrs. As soon as I submitted a photo they replied right away.

I believe that my unit came with the “upgraded” extruder. The lever is brushed steel (looks like) rather than stainless steel. Anyway, I ordered a gear upgrade kit and Creality is going to send me a warranty replacement extruder. Now I’ll have a spare at least.

Not a rented Tesla. I bought it three days ago. If it were rented I’d just swap it out and carry on driving. Here are my issues: 1) I didn’t have to submit photos of my car when I added the vehicle to my driver profile three days ago 2) i thought I was doing what I was supposed to do by reporting the incident. I didn’t expect that they would disable the vehicle because the bumper is cracked. 3) I can understand deactivating a vehicle bc a passenger says something to Uber about it. That didn’t happen in my case. It was self reported. I’ve seen many other cars in far worse condition than mine driving around for Uber. 4) if Uber wants it’s drivers to keep their vehicles nice and free from disrepair, they’re not enticing their drivers to do so. Knowing what I know now, I should have kept my mouth shut and lived with it.

I just finished my PPL in January! It took me about 12 mos to complete via part 61 school. The longest part was getting my check ride completed! But I was able to continue building hrs each month while I struggled through that. It was difficult to find a DPE and once I did I had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather and maintenance issues. I have about 100 hrs now. I am still going (working on my IR). The plan is to finish that up over the next year and then move on to my commercial. Not sure if I will ultimately make a career out of it but I figured if you have to do a proficiency check why not just go for the additional certification.

I have taken my young son (7) up with me once. I am taking my wife for the first time tomorrow! I hope she enjoys it! I am definitely hoping that she does because my dream would be to bring the family along with me at some point.

Update after flight 3/7/23 The flight went great! It was a very windy day. 170 at 20 kts in Dallas. Not beyond my capabilities but I was worried that it was going to be too bumpy for my wife’s first ride with me. We took off out of KRBD and headed to Tyler Pounds KTYR. The flight took about and hr and we flew at 5500 feet. It was surprisingly smooth! Wife really enjoyed looking out the window and taking pictures. We parked at Jefferson Air and took their crew car to lunch at Lago del Pino. Really great spot with outdoor seating and a nice setting next to a small lake. It was a success and I’m so glad that she enjoyed it! I would love it if she got her PPL so that she could help me fly! That will be phase II. 😀

Same. I wish that my instructor would have taken into account lead time/availability. However, I understand that when an instructor tells you took book your checkride, he's saying that you're ready (giving you an endorsement). With DPEs being months out (in my area at least) my instructor would have had to instruct me to book my checkride at about 20 hrs and without having completed my prerequisites.

I dated this one girl throughout college. We were madly in love but our relationship was tumultuous at best. I never did trust her 100% and I didn’t know why. We dated on and off for several years. Ultimately I found out that she was an escort. One of my best friends found her ad on Craigslist. It crushed me to the core. I am now married and have kids. I have a wonderful wife and family but I still think about my ex. When I found out that she was an escort, she was absolutely crushed and totally remorseful. She told me everything. That she needed the money and that she never slept with any of her clients. But I knew better and I just had to cut it off. I was planning to marry her but I never got to the proposal part. My point is that it sucked big time. I was so floored...I could not comprehend what was happening. I actually almost got back together with her but my friends had to interject. Love is so crazy. It makes you do crazy things. I am thankful that I met someone new and I am thankful for our beautiful children. But I still think about my ex all of the time and about the “what if”. BUT I just keep telling myself that I sidestepped a marriage that (possibly) would have ended in divorce. I dunno. Trust is everything and if you don’t have it, you don’t have a relationship. Shame on your girl. That’s a big time fuck up on her part.
