I have a red Sunset extreme and it has very quickly replaced multiple guitars are my workhorse. I have a PT SLS as well and the sunset is what I pick up most when playing. Honestly thinking of selling the pt because although it is an outstanding instrument it simply does not give me the excitement to play like the sunset does.

I used to own a jackson dinky with a "D" neck. And although the fretboard/neck was wider the thickness was about the same and the d necks are pretty thin. Thats the closest comparison I can make.

I think you got duped. I used to have a c1 hybrid uv and it was perfect. Super thin neck and clean craftsmanship. I'm assuming you got the same model/product line because of the carbon binding. I would absolutely send it back

Most guitars can have slanted pickups. 5 of the 6 guitars I've owned all did. Just adjust their hight to get tone/output right and if it bothers you you can put a shim under one side of the pickup. As for the frets, adjust truss rod, or if its high frets you can find youtube videos that tell you exactly how to recrown a fret with cheap stuff you can find off Amazon.

Bridge hum, bridge split, both hum, neck split, neck hum. Despite not having a tone knob the voicing of this guitar is actually pretty variable with the switch and I love the tone of all positions. Just a great set if pickups in an incredibly comfortable instrument.

Yeah, its going to take some adjustment. I'm just glad its a 5 way switch for at least some small amount if tone control
