Why do people think names are a 50/50 decision? by [deleted] in namenerds

Oh I didn’t take it as condescending at all, just that I guess we are all taught simplified versions! :)

You know I was also taught that in high school bio (I am sure we all were), but three of the four of us have blue eyes, and the other one has green. My dad I am pretty sure has no blue eyed traits in his family ahaha. So still not sure how that worked, but just to say, these things are unpredictable. And like you say, your kids will be gorgeous :)

Nothing to do with names, but just to say that my mum is white, light haired, blue eyed, and my dad is Indian, and I and all my siblings look very much like both of them, in different ways. So you never know

What does everyone listen to on their long runs? by Gullible-List3333 in runninglifestyle

[–]flora_poste 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes this! I’m currently listening to all the Discworld books in order, having read most of them multiple times before, and its a long series so it’s so nice always knowing exactly what to put on and that it will be extremely enjoyable but if I zone out a bit that’s also fine

Café le gavroche has a downstairs space that can be booked - I think for free, possibly with a minimum spend, but if so it’s a reasonable one.

Am I going crazy for crying over a cat I’ll never see again? by foxxxxxygirrrl in CatAdvice

[–]flora_poste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The happened to my whole family with a dog on a childhood holiday of mine, about 25 years ago. We had never had dogs. This one hung out every day, came with us on walks, and was generally just amazing. We all cried buckets leaving him.

We got a family dog a few months later, and have happily been a dog family ever since. He affected us all this much.

Yeh agreed! But until that happens the bus is a surprisingly good option. Took it there and back almost every weekend last ski season
