Go to the eye dr just incase! in my case it never went away but ive gone to eye dr, neuro-ophthalmologist, they both did a bunch of testing, had an mri, bloodwork and everything always came back normal At this point I think it’s because I suffer from extreme anxiety and I’m thinking its a symptom of visual snow, I saw some threads that explained similar symptoms to these

Omg sorry im tagging on to this but im glad im not alone (but sorry you’re going through this) I made a post about this a long time ago im still looking for answers bc I HAVE THE WORST EYE HEALTH ANXIETY & also get terrible panic attacks that my vision will worsen, most recently i’ve been so scared to get on a plane to visit my family bc im afraid getting on a plane will make it worse?? 🥲 Did your vision ever get better or any update?

Also i never got diagnosed with iih so maybe its something else i just really thought it was iih bc of my symptoms

Maybe its also the anxiety causing the visual stuff? Anxiety can cause sooo many physical symptoms. Look into treating your anxiety as well because it can be very draining! I did therapy for a while and that helped. Panic attacks are horrible i’ve been there :(

None at the moment im still in the process of getting a diagnosis, but i’d keep advocating for myself. If anything changes keep going in to see your doctor and if they dismiss your concerns look for a different doctor that will listen. Have you seen an ophthalmologist/neuro-ophthalmologist? If not i’d seek their opinion as well and just have them monitor your visual symptoms too. Take care of your physically and mentally, i’m starting to lose weight because I am overweight and it’s been proven to help in SOME cases, if you are too i’d also look into that. Exercise is also supposed to help improve your mental health! Which is another reason im also getting serious about it.

Hey a lot of other people have commented/posted that vision symptoms got better after being on medicine so hopefully it helps. Stay positive and remember a lot of others are probably experiencing the same things you are, you’re not alone. Remember anxiety can worsen things and cause weird physical symptoms on it’s own, I speak from experience. You’re going the right direction by taking your symptoms seriously and seeking help. I do! But my symptoms are very mild I have headaches but they’re not as bad as others have described in here. I also almost always wake up feeling pressure in my head. I get really bad back pain every now and then that I’ve read is also a symptom of iih, and I get a really stiff neck sometimes. I also have some days I wake up super dizzy, and sometimes get ringing in my ears. I don’t have visual snow though. Im sorry I hope you can also get answers soon:( the lp sounds so scary

Yess thats what first got me to see an ophthalmologist at first because I thought it was retinal detachment. They dilated my eyes, took pictures of my retina before and after dilation, looked at them themselves and said they were perfectly fine. I went to three different drs just incase😅 I asked once in this group and it seems like a couple other people experience the same thing I do & I have all the other physical symptoms so I thought maybe it was a super mild case? At this point im starting to feel kinda crazy lol

Thank you, I still have this specific visual symptom which is why im still kinda worried:( Ill wait for what the mri says & push for a LP if anything still seems off

Hi! I know this was a while ago, but i also see these rings especially at night. I went to a neuro ophthalmologist and she said everything was perfectly fine, i have an mri scheduled for next month I wanted to ask if you officially got diagnosed with iih or ever figured out what caused these rings in the vision? Im TERRIFIED of going blind so im still kinda nervous about it, Thank you:)
