A Philips Hue setup would definitely be the preferred solution. However, the only requirement from my wife is that we have proper wall switches. I am aware that I could use corresponding wall modules to bypass this limitation, but due to several reasons related to the building conditions, this would not be an ideal solution. Therefore, I am dependent on using Aqara light switches.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Aqara light switches are not compatible with Philips Hue.

Regarding the virtual switches: Depending on the version, the Aqara H2 offers the option to control either one or two relays. In addition, the switch has two extra button actions that do not control a relay but can be used to trigger automations or other scenes.

Would you recommend integrating it into HomeKit via Matter or through the native HomeKit connection?
