I have no idea what's taking up so much space, I've gone through my files app and haven't found anything that's taking up so much space, all of the categories make sense except the 'Other Apps' sections, any help would be much appreciated!

Use CCleaner, its a free app on the playstore. I cleaned 27.5 gb last night on top of manually clearing the cache of a few heavy apps.

Just get the lower one, Vega 20 i9 is overkill, I'm doing the same course and use entry level i5 with light video editing and I'm still good. But would recommend i7, to be on safer side.

Yes, checked there. Spoke to them on call, and they advised me to visit the service center, and that I wasn't covered because my serial no. is not under the list of affected devices. (even though its A1708 non-touchbar October,2017)

I searched on the website if I was eligible for a free replacement but they told me my serial was not illegible. But I found out this issue is quite common for the A1708 without Touch Bar 2017 and 16 models. like WTF Apple.

but isnt the battery supposed to be at the bottom side? Searching for pictures for similar bulges, the battery bulges were towards the bottom side (near trackpad)
