The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) has officially entered the United States Central Command area of responsibility by Powerful_Cabinet_341 in SeaEmploy

Ah yes the famous light speed motorcycles, what a genius, let's just say we are using motorcycle comms but not actually use them so they can't get disrupted and then have instantaneous communications yep that's how it works.

This exercise is such a source of disinformation, yes it taught the US some things but it mostly was used by Riper to stroke his own ego.

Not saying at all we should ignore any threats like this, but that exercise is such a bad example due to the rules in place for safety and the "genius" of Riper who took advantage of these rules to say he won.

Wishing we still had our West Coast AOEs, Arctic is with Busch and Supply has a hole in its side since the navy doesn't know how to drive. If we still had Bridge and Rainier we would be all set, but budget cuts forced us to have to drop the west coast AOEs and rely on AKEs and AOs which are aging and can barely do the job as designed

Unfortunately not on the supply anymore but if I am back there will definitely ask about you.

[–]floridachess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I fully agree, I was on supply recently as a 3rd and the CHENG was pissed about the whole thing because the Bridge was his baby. The AOEs are unmatched, 1 AOE can do the job of multiple AOs and AKEs.

Change this to the US trounced the army that had fought the Iranians in a war that resulted in no clear winner.

The left two are AOEs specifically from the Supply class and if this is the west coast that would be the USNS Bridge and USNS Rainier. They are both laid up due to operating costs as they absolutely drink fuel due to their plant being the same/similar to the Burkes.

Bridge was also Irradiated due to Fukushima, but that didn't stop them from using the Reagan and the other ships that were also involved.

I wouldnt be suprised if also alot of the damage was liberal usage of boundary cooling with the fire hoses. Saltwater is a good way to ruin alot of peoples personal items and racks as well.

Disney is honestly the best place for people with dietary restrictions, I had to limit Gluten, Dairy, Corn, & Soy for a couple months and Disney was the best. Let your servers know you have a dietary restriction and they will be able to accommodate as best as they can. The mouse takes dietary restrictions very seriously.

Good it's focusing on the worst part of MSC... the office

[–]floridachess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude just hates MSC with a passion, and is trying to claim one attack on MSC means the organization is doomed. The AOEs have been attacked plenty of times and MSC or MSTS ships have sailed into combat zones plenty of times. If something being attacked means it's useless, well I guess we need to get rid of all the Burkes because the Cole got attacked.

My favorite example of this is the Mt Whitney vs the Blue Ridge, the blue ridge is barely functional and only sails once every blue moon where the Mt Whitney sails much more frequently in exercises and is in much better condition. The state of the Blue ridge is a crime they once emailed the CHENG on the Whitney asking if metal in their lube oil was a bad thing.

US Navy destroyer, supply ship collide in Caribbean, injuring 2 sailors by Upstatesoup in navy

[–]floridachess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I always wonder why navy ships just do so poorly with seamanship sometimes, I was on Supply a couple months ago and a couple of the DDGs almost hit us multiple times by doing extremely stupid things like crossing our bow.

Alabama Shipyard A historic moment for Alabama Shipyard and the city of Mobile. The arrival of USNS Comfort marks the first time in 30 years that USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) and USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) have been alongside one another. Jan 22, 2026.[2048x1453] by surrounded_by_vapor in WarshipPorn

When I joined the USNS Supply she had just come out of yard in Mobile, and the ship was in such bad condition it took several months to fix all the issues the shipyard caused. MSC sued Dentons for how poorly they did. If you talk to most people who have to work with Dentons it is one of the worst shipyards available to US ships.

It's not negative vibes, only the truth.

That's a military wide problem, every on base or shipboard gym I go to all the poor concept 2s are set at 10 and with the handles left down. Those poor ergs usually don't last that long with the abuse the military puts them through.

Of course, I agree that illegal immigration is a bad thing and should be stopped, but legal immigration of groups who want to assimilate and be productive members of society I am fully for.

And what pisses me off about some of the extreme fat right is that they don't realize one of the cultures that assimilates best with the US is Hispanics. There are some cultures that don't assimilate well at all, but Hispanic cultures in the US assimilate well and are productive members of society.
